1 The holidays are ahead of us. In fact just around the corner. We hope you have been busy making all those wonderful gifts for friends and family. If you need some help in what would be good gifts to stitch, come by and see us even in you only need a little help on one of your project. Remember all you have to do is ask. We are here to help you. Our staff are professionals in the needlework world. Everyone of them have been to Pam s classes. As we say they can run a needle and enjoy helping you so much. We enjoy doing needlework, talking about needlework, and working in the needlework industry. If you have questions, we have answers. Just us at 3stitches@3stitches.com or call us at If we don t know the answer, we know someone who does know. We are always here for you. All you have to do is ask. For the crust 1 cup (2 sticks) butter 2 cups all-purpose flour ½ cup powdered sugar Coconut Cream Pie Bars Instructions Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a 9 x 13 baking dish with a foil sling by tearing one sheet and placing it the width of the pan, another one the length of the pan. This way you will be able to pull the bars out of the pan with the foil. Cut the butter into the flour and sugar using a food processor or a pastry cutter. Press the dough into the foil lined pan. Bake minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool. We Keep You In Stitches Page 1 of 15
2 For the bars 3 cups half-and-half 3 cups coconut milk 4 eggs 1 ½ cups granulated sugar 2/3 cup cornstarch ½ teaspoons salt 1 ½ cups flaked coconut ½ teaspoon coconut extract ½ teaspoon vanilla extract Instructions Combine the half-and-half, coconut milk, eggs, sugar, cornstarch, and salt in a large saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-low heat, whisking constantly, until it is thick and bubbling. This can take minutes. Add coconut, the extracts and stir. Pour this into cooled crust. Let it cool for 10 minutes or so before putting in the refrigerator. Refrigerate overnight. Whipped Topping 1 tub whipped cream 1 cup coconut, for toasting Instructions In a heavy skillet over low heat, toast the coconut until golden brown; set aside to cool. Top the chilled bars with whipped cream and sprinkle the toasted coconut on top. Return to the refrigerator until ready to serve. Thank you so very much Connie. This is the best food ever. Happy Birthday to me. Halloween Hot Apple Cider When apple cider has a lovely deliciousness in its simplicity, cognac has a taste to explore and understand.
