1 THE BEAR FACTS BUSY BEARS QUILT GUILD - May 2017 May June CALENDAR : Board Meeting 15: General Meeting 16: Moon Dance Workshop 5: Board Meeting 19: General Meeting 20: Sashiko Workshop EDITORS EPISTLE Yes, it s true. I will be moving to Sparks, NV to be closer to my daughter and her family. Our home there will be completed Aug 1st and we will begin the move at that time. It will be very hard to leave behind all the wonderful friends that I have made here. PRESIDENTS MESSAGE Spring is finally upon us. And I hear that there may be snow flurries this weekend. I guess we know what that means... Mother s Day and Memorial Day are right around the corner. Belinda Evans Confetti workshop was great fun, and a real success. WhooHoo! I actually completed the project I took, at least the design portion. Quilting is all that remains. That rarely happens. Guest speakers are coming each of the next 3 months and they are going to be great. Their workshops are a perfect time to learn new techniques. All the while having a good time with friends. Hope you plan to attend. FYI Next to the Membership Sign-in table, and below Mary Johnson s picture is a short table which has a small bulletin board on it. Each month the table, also has on it, flyers of a variety of sorts. Some are for upcoming quilt shows, some for other quilt related activities. If something interests you, feel free to take one of the flyers. From time to time we receive only 1. Happy Quilting - B~ Bonnie Snell, President Karen Cumberland April Dinner before the Meeting The dinner this month will be at Senora Cantina located at Big Bear Blvd in Big Bear Lake. They have a great menu and we can enjoy a belated Cinco de Mayo!
