Refer to Drawing A002, Wall Schedule, Type W1, REVISE the depth of the metal cladding to 38mm. 7. Refer to Drawing A002, Wall Schedule, Type W2, REVISE the depth of the Steel Studs to 152 mm. 8. REPLACE Drawing A005 Architectural Building Sections with the enclosed Drawing A REPLACE Drawing A007 Architectural Details with the enclosed Drawing A Refer to Drawing A008, Division 7, DELETE Sentence 10 and REPLACE with: A. All roofing work to be performed by qualified roofing contractors who are RCABC certified or who are capable of quality work, which will be able to achieve a RCABC ten (10) year guarantee. You are instructed to engage a RCABC approved roofing inspection service to perform inspections during roofing installation. Forward reports to Owner. Copy all reports to the Architect. This is mandatory. NO EXCEPTIONS Refer to Drawing A008, Division 7, ADD 18. Drainage Board: Install (10mm thick min) drainage board to below grade foundation walls unless noted otherwise. Drainage board to have integral filter cloth or be a solid continuous surface to prevent blockage of drainage cavity. 3 12. Refer to Drawing A008, Division 8, DELETE note 6 and REPLACE with: 6. Tubular Daylighting: Supply and install tubular daylighting system as per drawings. Coordinate with structural steel for required roof deck openings and with roofing contractor for membrane and flashing details required by manufacturer. Assemblies to be manufactured to be airtight, watertight and noncombustible c/w integral curb mounting cap and must conform to applicable ASTM and CSA standards. Dome to be transparent, UV and impact resistant acrylic w/ reflecting prism; and interior diffuser to be translucent, acrylic. Provide Extension tubes to bring the tubes below the U/S of trusses. Reference Product: SolaMaster 750 DS by Solatube Refer to Drawing A008, Division 9, DELETE note 4 regarding sandblasting in it's entirety. 14. Refer to Drawing A008, Division 9, DELETE note 6 and REPLACE with 6. Metal Liner Panels: Metal liner panels to be min. 32" wide (or to suit to stud spacing), galvanized, prefinished (Vicwest color bone white or equal), 22 gauge, smooth/flat panels c/w concealed fasteners. Reference Manufacturer: Vicwest, product L-800R Refer to Drawing A008, Division 8, DELETE Sentence 5 and REPLACE with Coiling Overhead Door: Supply and install chain operated, coiling overhead door and related systems such as tracks, and operating hardware. Provide shop drawings for review including structural design loads as well as colour, materials and finishes. Panels to be 15/16" thick and constructed of 22 gauge (min.) sheet steel exterior skin, prefinished w/ standard paint system, over urethane insulation core (R8 min). Guides and brackets to be minimum 3/16" Structural steel angles, with powder coated finish. Weatherstripping required at sill (bottom bar), jamb (guides), head (baffle) and at all panel joints. Provide padlockable chain keeper on guide. Insulated bottom bar to match panel finish. Install door plumb, flush and true to ensure smooth operation. Note all incidental symbols replaced with proper characters. 3.0 QUESTIONS 1. Q: Please confirm temporary shoring requirements and whether they may be permanent? A: Temporary shoring shall be provided as required and approved by the Contractor s engineer as per Section Temporary shoring may be left in place permanently, only upon approval by the Owner or Engineer. 2. Q: In the note on Dwg C002, all slopes steeper than 2H:1V, the contractor is to either provide filter fabric and rip rap, or cable concrete in those areas. Is this to remain upon the completion of the job or is this to be removed and the area redone in hydroseed? A: Slope protection measures described above shall remain in place after construction. 3. Q: What is the cost of the Owner supplied UV Equipment? A: $ 1,243, Q: W2 assembly indicates G1S plywood both sides and a note on A5 section D indicates G1S plywood of the inside of the electrical room up to 2m. What is the desired finish above 2m in the electrical room? A: Note on A5 Section D refers to the exterior walls only. Plywood to be mounted to interior surface of W1 Wall type. 5 5. Q: Reference to item 14 on addendum 2, is the location of the duct bank shown on Drawing E001 considered a travelled surface? A: Electrical duct bank under asphalt shall be concrete encased. 6. Q: Is provisional item 1, the 1200mm butterfly valve, shown on Drawing C001 at the UV building outlet? A: Provisional item 1 is NOT shown on the Mechanical or Civil Drawings. The provisional 1200mm butterfly valve will be located near point no. 60 on Drawing C Q: Is there any detail available or a description of how you would like to see the proposed drainage swale around the UV building to offsite discharge and also to the proposed headwall? Is the swale to be rip rap or hydroseeded and or lined witth any geofabric? A: Refer to Drawing C004 Detail Q: C001 Note 2 specifies cap and abandon of 1200 HDPE line. Please confirm if concrete cap is acceptable. A: Concrete sandbagging with pour concrete cap is acceptable. 9. Q: Please confirm the type and brand of the electrical distribution panel boards and MCCs. A: The existing distribution panels and MCCs are Siemens. MCC s are TIASTAR model. 10. Q: What type of pipe is required for the 100mm civil conduit pipe. A: Schedule 40 PVC as per Section Detailed Piping Specifications Sheets. 11. Q: What is the material of the 19mm hypochlorite injection diffuser? A: The diffuser shall be constructed of Hastelloy C as per the Saf-T-Flo model number reference on C Q: What plate thickness and embedment depth is required for the marine access hatches? A: Cast-in-place frame and anchorage shall be designed by Contractor\Supplier to meet the pressure rating requirements of the hatch. 13. Q: What is the invert elevation of the lowest drain for the existing reservoir (i.e. Invert elevation to which the water will be drained by the plant operator? A: Assume that the City will handover the system when the water level is at the invert of the reservoir outlet pipe. Tender #2017-E Page 5 of 7

6 14. Q: Can the system be fed directly from the water treatment plant bypassing the reservior A: No. However, the system can be temporarily supplied from an alternate source for up to 6 hours. 15. Q: At what water level within the reservoir is the system deemed shut-down? A: Please assume that the reservoir is empty. 16. Q: Please provide clarity as to how the contractor is expected to complete this work within a 6-hour window. A: The tie-in spools will need to be pre-assemble, pressure testing and disinfected prior to installing. The tie-in locations would then be exposed in advance and the bulk of the effort would then focus on removal of existing and fitup at the restrained fittings. We expected that two crews would need to be working in parallel to complete the tie-ins within the allotted timeframe. The City crews have completed similar scope at one location within a similar timeframe. 17. Q: Please provide information on fill rates for the reservoir and how much time is needed prior to the system being operational? A: The system can be operational immediately following successful fitup. 18. Q: What is the head pressure of the existing TW HDPE line from the reservoir? A: 10 psi. 19. Q: No lighting control is shown for Process Area Lighting Areas A + B. are the lights to be on 24/7? A: The Process Area Lighting is not controlled and is to be ON 24/ Q: The specifications for the Exit Lights show them to be self-powered. The drawings on E-808 show them to be fed 12VDC from the EM Battery Pack. A: The EXIT lights are remote lamps with EXIT sign fed from a common 12VDC Emergency Battery Pack. 21. Q: Does the electrical room require a EM Battery pack? A: Yes. 22. Q: A008 Div. 9 Note 6, reference manufacturer: Metal Building Components. Please confirm that comparable products will be acceptable and this is noted for reference only. A: Approved equivalents will be considered for all reference products and manufacturers listed on the drawings. Tender #2017-E Page 6 of 7

7 23. Q: Section ductwork all ductwork installed shall be aluminum, galvanized steel or stainless steel as indicated on the drawings. Please confirm duct material? A: All ducting to be Galvanized Steel. 24. Q: S1.3 shows the mud slab extending past the footings however S1.4 does not, please confirm which is correct. What MPA is acceptable for the mud slab? A: Mud slab to extend past the footings as per drawing S1.3 on all locations. Mudslab to be 8 MPA as per Secion A/S1.3.
