2 This portfolio is a collection of my works over the last couple of years. I plan to continue doing what I love and to improve on the skills that I have started to develop. I hope you enjoy reading this portfolio as much as I enjoyed creating it, and the works within.

8 Community Gathering Space Class: 1121 Intro to Design Communication Duration: 3 Weeks Process: To create a small gathering space within a College of DuPage courtyard. Then to draft a plan, section, and a hand-rendered drawing with shade and shadow. Page 5

10 Nature of Materials The project: To create a large scale model representing the ideas of an existing building The Building: The Rosenthal Centre for Contemporary art by Zaha Hadid The idea of puzzle pieces was a large aspect of the rosenthal center, which can be seen in these basic elevations. The crisp lines and parted planes show the interlocking aspect Image Courtesy of Page 7
11 The curved stand represents the idea of an urban carpet which helps to seemlessly merge the floor to wall. The frosted glass uses a sense of lightness to emphasize the aspect of puzzle pieces. This model measures three feet by three feet and stands at over four feet tall. Dimensions 3 x3 x4 Page 8
12 Inspirations Collage Class: Arch 2201 Architectural Design Duration: 2 Weeks for the design and build process The Process: To create a three-dimensional collage that would represent our own views and opinions towards the city of Chicago based on personal photography. Page 9
13 Solution The final composition expresses the chaos of the city while still holding onto the organization that is implied. The Chicago river is represented by a natural element which signifies Chicago s connection with nature that is often forgotten. The idea of structure is also implied with the strong use of horizontal and vertical features. Page 10
14 Chicago Arts Pavilion The Class: Arch Architectural Design I Duration: 10 Weeks The Process: To choose one of three spaces within bicentennial plaza and create a visitors center for the city of Chicago. The design also had to incorporate a gallery for contemporary art, a small cafe, and a performance space. 15 Study model progression Concept: Unpredictable paths and weaving structures immerse even the most routine pedestrian with art, nature, and culture. While on the average commute to work or a first trip to the city, the designed path guides viewers past the gallery, courtyard, and performance space.
