4 Standard 4: Dra$ing, Revising, and Exhibi3ng By the end of grade 4, students will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the processes of creating and exhibiting their own artwork: drafts, critique, self-assessment, refinement, and exhibit preparation. Drafting, Revising, and Exhibiting (4.1, 4.2, 4.3) Share artwork with the class or a peer Explain the process behind their artwork Learn to reflect on and revise artwork for exhibition Introduce ways to select and constructively assess ones artwork Select a work or works created during the year and discuss with a classmate, or teacher, explaining how the work was made, and why it was chosen for discussion. Select works for exhibition and work as a group to create a display (4.2) As a class, develop and use criteria for informal classroom discussions about art (4.3)

5 Standard 5: Critical Response By the end of each grade level, students will be able to describe and analyze their own work and the work of others using appropriate visual arts vocabulary. When appropriate, students will connect their analysis to interpretation and evaluation.
