1 Woodworker s Club Meeting Wednesday, August 6:30 PM The Woodworker s Shop, East Manito Rd., Pekin. February Meeting Notes: President, Les Linton called the meeting of August 15th to order. Business Meeting: Treasurer Norm Bartlett received a CEFCU statement and has reported the sum of $2, in the club s savings account and an additional $51.21 in checking. And as usual, those figures reconciled with the CEFCU statement dated 8/11/2018. Old Business: None. New Business: The club held it s election and voted for: Les Linton - Club President Dan Withrow - Club Vice President Khaled Mohammad - Club Secretary Norm Bartlet - Treasurer John Goodenough - Refreshment (by far the toughest vote of the night) ALL 2019 DUES ARE DUE NEXT MONTH SEP IF MAKING A CHECK PLEASE MAKE IT OUT TO THE PEORIA AREA WOODWORKERS CLUB. IF MAILING A CHECK PLEASE MAIL IT TO NORM BARTLETT 1017 S MAXWELL RD PEORIA, IL Drawings: Show and tell $25 gift card was won by Les Linton. The 50/50 drawing was won by Darrell Moore. The $35 gift card was won by Del and Janice Leudtke. There was 39 members present. Show and Tell Les Linton: made a picture frame for his 50th high school reunion. He used his CNC router to do most of the work but still faced few challenges getting the lettering in the right spot. 1 of 5

AJ Gatzemeyer: AJ brought a birdhouse to donate for the Marigold

2 Vic McDonald: made a moose, this time the moose is smiling. Vic came up with the design himself. AJ Gatzemeyer: AJ brought a birdhouse to donate for the Marigold Festival sale. Being AJ he built 10 houses! Lee Gatzemeyer: Brought boxes with inlaid tops as an experiment. Lee used the Dremel with the router attachment to remove the material for the inlay. Larry Coggins: Larry brought a cedar birdhouse that he s donating for the Marigold Festival sale. He designed so that the bottom can be removed for cleaning. He made 2 birdhouses and a bat house. 2 of 5

3 Jerry Wallis: Jerry made lots of pens. He used lots of interesting materials such as 50cal shell, swamp cedar, olive wood, bird s eye maple and deer antlers. Denny Dukes: brought another beautiful intarsia piece that he designed.
