1 Penrith and District Camera Club programme Notes - Denotes a series of talks relating to a particular branch of photography, and presented by one or more of our Club members. Competitions - Club competition dates and hand in dates are highlighted in red. Events not at the Quaker Meeting House are highlighted in purple. Wednesday 6th September Opening Night Days out images, presented by Janet Fielden. Phil Newport discusses printing of images. Scavenger Hunt all will be revealed! Hand In for the Summer Challenge PDI Competition (Set subject Rust ) Wednesday 13th September Lake District Night and Day Local photographer, and former Club member, Rod Ireland presents his take on the Lake District. Hand In for the Library Exhibition (prints) (smaller than standard-sized prints also welcome) Wednesday 20th September Post-processing session, with 4 tables, led by Club members John Tillotson (adding texture), Jo Knight (manipulation), Dawn Stobbart (manipulation) and Linda Farquhar (floral art processing). Les gives some tips on how to select a panel of three, the subject of this season s Millennium Trophy. John Williams reviews some pictures from external International Salons, and explains which images work best. Hand In for print competition no.1 (Open) Wednesday 25th October Post-processing practical session. An opportunity to come to grips with this sometimes frustrating aspect of photography. Wednesday 1st November Light Trails/Nature Presented by David Taylor from Hexham.

Wednesday 15th November Light Painting a practical session, along with other activities. Hand In for PDI competition no.2 (Set subject Water in any or all of its forms ) Wednesday 22nd November Photographing Space History. A return visit from Mark Williamson of Kirkby Thore. Wednesday 29th November China on a shoestring, by Club member Stuart Edgar. Wednesday 6th December PDI Competition no.2 (Set subject Water in any or all of its forms ) Judge : Dr Keith Snell, PhD, AFIAP, LRPS of Keswick PS. Wednesday 13th December Christmas social evening. Buffet Supper, and the Scavenger Hunt boards. Hand In for the Millennium Trophy (Print) (Set subject: Panel of Three ) Hand In for the Three Way Battle Christmas break (3 weeks)

Wednesday 7th February Styling and photographing food with Club member Steve Prior. Hand In for print competition no.3 (Open) Wednesday 14th February The annual inter-club 3-Way Battle, hosted this year by PDCC. Venue : Newbiggin Village Hall, Newbiggin, Stainton Wednesday 21st February You can t be serious, presented by Tony Potter, ARPS, EFIAP/p, APSA, GMPSA, DPAGB, APAGB of the West Cumbria Photo Group. Wednesday 28th February Learning from the Masters, presented by Carmen Norman, LRPS, professional photographer and member of Keswick PS.

Wednesday 28th March PDI Competition no.3 (Open) Judge : Tom Stenhouse of Keswick PS. Wednesday 4th April A presentation by Sheila Davies (or Giles) DPAGB, award-winning AV specialist from the Wirral. Wednesday 11th April Annual General Meeting Image of the Year competition Friday 27th April Annual Dinner and Presentation of Awards. Venue to be decided.
