Purchased art and Awarded art may not be removed from the exhibit until art release dates as listed above. Special Rules for the Amateur Fine Arts Department: (Please see General Rules for additional information.) 1. Amateur exhibitors are defined as having beginning and/or limited knowledge/skill. Any exhibitor possessing intermediate or advance knowledge/skill must enter in the Open Fine Arts Department. 2. Entry Fees are not refundable. 3. Maximum Entries: 3 (total of three per artist). 4. Exhibitors entering in the Amateur Fine Arts section are not eligible to enter the Open Fine Arts section. 5. This is a juried art show; some items entered may not be accepted for show. 6. All work must be original, entered and created by the artist within the last three years, and must not have been exhibited at any previous Arizona State Fair Fine Arts Exhibition. 7. Computer generated, photographic prints, copies and color copies are not allowed. 8. Nude, obscene or violent entries will not be accepted. Management and judges reserve the right to remove entries which are considered obscene or harmful to minors, as defined in the Arizona Criminal Code. 9. If there are less than 5 items in a class, those items may be combined with similar classes for judging purposes. 10. Entries must be delivered unpacked, wired, and ready for hanging. No sawtooth hangers allowed. Glass or Plexiglas accepted. No frosted glass. Items will be refused until properly prepared and wired for hanging. 11. It shall be the responsibility of the jury to eliminate entries improperly entered. Artists must classify their own entries, selecting from the printed classifications. 12. All accepted artwork will be exhibited in the Fine Arts Exhibition until the art release dates at the end of the fair. All accepted artwork may not be removed from the exhibit until these dates. 13. The Fair agrees to assume full responsibility for all entries and to insure against loss or damage, to repair or pay fair market value for the entry, from the time the entry is dropped off or picked up. In the event of loss or damage the Fair s maximum liability will be limited to the agreed value as stated on the entry, until returned to Entrant. 14. The Arizona State Fair and its Board will not be responsible for items left for more than 10 days after the final pick-up date. 15. Submit a 2-3 sentence biography with your prints.
