1 Volume 3, Issue 11 SACO BAY ARTISTS NEWSLETTER June-July, 2015 PO Box 7100 Ocean Park, ME Update from our Chairperson Hello everyone, Our regular monthly meeting will be on Monday, June 8, 6:30-8:30 PM. There will be a short business meeting followed by a talk by Mona Harmon on her continuing art journey. Some of you know Charles Bernier and I spoke with him the other day. He will not be participating in the Summer Shows summer shows this year as he is having eye surgery in July and has not been painting. Ever positive, he did say he d see us next year. I ve been busy compiling the final list of former members and we will be doing a mailing to all those members. It s quite a long list - about 150 people. Wouldn t it be nice to see some of them again or to have them participate in some of our summer shows? Betty has arranged an exhibit opportunity in July for SBA at the newly remodeled Libby Library in Old Orchard Beach. See details below for dates and times. Looking forward to seeing you at the June meeting. Kathy Libby Library Exhibit Exhibit will hang during the month of July. Suggest that you bring two pieces. Depending on how many people bring work, we may only be able to hang one piece. 2 20 th Anniversary Retrospective Show The Saco Museum will be hosting an exhibition in celebration of our 20th anniversary. The show will be from October 17-November 4, 2015 with an opening reception on Friday, October 16. This show will be a retrospective; therefore, you can enter either now or older work. There also is space to display larger work. We plan to have some special exhibits of members who have died and pictures/information of past activities. If anyone has pictures or mementos from past SBA activities and you re willing to let us borrow them, please let Kathy Angel Lee know. The application for this show is included with the newsletter.
