1 Paint A Plein Air Affair - Sept , 2013 Attention Artists! Join us for two days of plein air painting at the beautiful Burgwin-Wright House and Gardens. Seven distinct garden areas and hundreds of plant varieties surround the circa-1770, Georgian-style house, providing endless possibilities for paintings. 2 A Plein Air Affair - Sept , 2013 Schedule Friday, September 27 9:00-10:00 a.m.... Artists Check-in 10:00 a.m.-til... Plein Air Painting 6:00-9:00 p.m.... Works in Progress Showing Saturday, September 28 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.... Plein Air Painting 6:00-9:00 p.m.... Reception and Show Plein Air Painting Artists may paint anywhere in the Burgwin-Wright House gardens and on city side walks. Standard Plein Air conditions and skills include wet canvas storage, easel and painting kit, and long hours painting outdoors in all weather. Snacks and drinks will be provided to artists. Works in Progress Artwork-in-progress can be left overnight.the public will be invited to view works in progress throughout the event and from 6:00-9:00 p.m. during the Fourth Friday gallery walk. Reception and Show Paintings will be displayed for a reception and art show on Saturday, September 28 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. through October 28. Paintings will be for sale, with the artists setting the prices. 20% of the proceeds from sales will go to support the Burgwin-Wright House and Gardens. Competitions Viewers will participate in choosing the People s Choice Award. There also will be a juried poster image competition for the following year s Paint-Out.

4 Please answer Yes/No to the Following: I agree to allow the resulting original works of art to be used for promotional materials for future events. Artists will be credited for their work. I give permission to the Burgwin-Wright House and Gardens to reproduce art work from the Paint-Out on note cards to be sold at the museum to support its mission. Artist website and information will be printed on the back of cards. If yes, please print information here: I will be available to attend the Awards Ceremony and Art Show on September 28, 2013 from 6-9pm. Work will hang for one month, at the end of which I will pick up any unsold work (October 28 th ). $25 NON-REFUNDABLE ENTRY FEE due by September 13 First come, First serve! 5 As a condition of my participation in the 2013 Burgwin-Wright Paint- Out, I agree to bear all risk and expense for any loss, theft or damage to my paintings or other personal property or injury to my person, regardless of cause and to abide by all rules specified in the 2013 Artist s Prospectus. I release, indemnify and hold harmless the Burgwin-Wright House from and against any claim, suit action, liability or expense arising out of any matter that would result from participating in the event or from exhibiting or using images of my paintings for publicity. The Burgwin-Wright Paint-Out Committee reserves the right to accept or not accept any painting for exhibition. The participating artists and all paintings submitted may be photographed or videotaped by the committee for promotional purposes.
