6 ARGENTONA (BARCELONA) Day of open doors to the School of Ceramics During three hours the public will be able to access the facilities of the School of Ceramics of Argentona, guided by its director Joan Serra. 9 ESPLUGUES DE LLOBREGAT (BARCELONA) Doors open at Museu Can Tinturé, collection of tiles Salvador Miquel The Can Tinturé Museum is the first and only example of a monographic museum dedicated to the sample tiles. A type of ceramic piece of production very abundant, with a generally geometric theme, whose repetition reproduces a drawing of infinite form. The collection, basically of Catalan tile, counts on more than three thousand pieces and it covers from the s.xiv until the middle of the s.xix Friday 2 of June from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday 3 of June from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday 4 of June from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Can Tinturé Museum Guided visit to the Museum of Ceramics "La Rajoleta" The site of the former ceramic factory "Hijos de Jaime Pujol i Bausis", has been hosting since 2002 the "La Rajoleta" ceramic museum. The visit introduces us to the history and beginnings of the history and production of the ceramic factory "Pujol i Bausis" which during Modernism acquired a very important role of reference. Thanks to the wealth of its furnaces allows us to take a tour of the technical evolution of the ceramic of 1850, since in the same enclosure we find six different typologies of ovens, some of which stand out for their spectacularity as the kilns of the bottle Or English or buried Arab furnaces. The exhibition also includes the local area "Gres made in Esplugues" dedicated to the son factory of Jaime Pujol and Bausis, and to the design and production of its popular ceramic tiles.
