1 December 2, 208 ADDENDUM NO. 2 TO ALL OFFEROR S: Re: Request for Proposal 9P004 Service: Install and Manage a Municipal Public Wi-Fi Network Dated: November 30, 208 Proposal Due Date: January 9, 209 This Addendum forms a part of the Contract Documents and modifies the original bidding documents for RFP No. 9P004 dated November 30, 208. Bidders shall acknowledge receipt of the Addendum in the space provided on the Bid Submission Form. This Addendum consists of five (5) total pages. The following information shall modify and clarify the Contract Documents and what is called for by one shall be binding as if called for by all:. ADD: Attached drawing of the proposed Downtown Wifi Area 2. ADD: Attached drawing of the Downtown Wifi Area with City s light poles throughout the proposed area. This is for informational purposes only and offerors may find this helpful when designing and writing your proposal. We encourage offerors to perform a site survey of the open public area, which does not require Sean or Steve to be notified, to make further assessments. 3. ADD: Attached drawing of the Manassas Museum, which is just outside of the Downtown Wifi Area, and is being included as an optional and additional service location. This is for informational purposes only and this building is open to the public during normal business hours and does not require Sean or Steve to be notified. 4. Question & Answer Bulletin Board (since Addendum No. ): Request for Proposal No. 9P004 Install and Manage a Municipal Public Wi-Fi Network Question and Answer (Q&A) Bulletin Board for Addendum No. 2 (This document will be updated periodically to share all relevant questions and answers. Any Q&A resulting in an Addendum will be posted on the City s purchasing web site and in eva)

2 Question : For stonewall park, is it just the pool area that needs coverage or the entire park? If it is just the pool area, is coverage needed in the parking lot or the field in addition? Answer : Pool area only Question 2: For Baldwin and Stonewall Parks, what are the expectations for areas of coverage and what mounting assets (poles, walls/facades etc that come with power) are available to us as options? Answer 2: Light Poles preferred (see attached map), City owned buildings can also be leveraged. Question 3: Is wifi coverage needed inside the Echoes Museum? Is coverage needed for: the parking lots, the playground, the field? Answer 3: Inside Museum would be a bonus (see attached drawing) but the focus here should be on the entire grass area in front of the Museum (Baldwin Park) Question 4: What mounting assets are available for AP locations (walls, roofs, building facades, poles etc)? We need this outlined on a clear map with appropriate dimensions. Can we leverage existing power at each of the options available to us? Answer 4: For downtown Manassas - see Downtown WiFi Area (Proposed) within the RFP Question 5: Does the city have rights/control of the street lights including the pole and cobra arm? Answer 5: Yes, City Owned Light Poles and please see attached map Question 6: We need some additional clarification on Section C, subtitle H Solution must protect against hidden or Rogue Access Points (APs) attaching to the enterprise network. We don t know what this means. WIDS/WIPS does not make sense for a public wifi network. Can we get further clarification? Answer 6: Prevention of imposter Access Points that look like City of Manassas within the network that fool users into connecting to them.
