In this cours, studs will b gn an iroduction to writing for th stag, film, and tlvision! To undrstand th opportunitis and advaags of ach diffr form, you will analyz and critiqu rcordd prformancs and txts th hav bn succssful in ths mdiums. You ll study slctd scripts and wch film and tlvision clips as modls for your own cr work. Whthr you ar irstd in writing for th stag or scrn (big or small), it is of th utmost importanc th you READ and WRITE and do both OFTEN (And I man rad in th acadmic sns in othr words, th way w rad films or a pic of thr). You ll also b askd to shar your favorit influial txts and/or film/tv clips as cr calysts for group writing and discussion. Fundamally, though, all class participas will ngag in frqu writing xrciss, and will b abl to shar and provid fdback for ach othr s scripts in a workshop form. By th nd, you will hav compltd svral short scripts, and will hav a portfolio including many mor idas and xtracts for futur projcts. W all hav uniqu indidual voics, and w all hav somthing to say/writ. Lack of participion will advrsly affct your ability to particip in onlin discussions and actitis and thus your participion grad.
