2 Advanced Graphics London celebrates 50 years during 2017 since it was first established in south east London. The company began as a screenprinting studio, working with artists to produce limited edition prints. In 1989, when the studio was based in Deptford, they purchased a vertical woodblock press in order to add texture and allow a thicker deposit of ink to be applied to the prints made in the studio. Their signature look was born and they remain the only printing studio in the UK to exclusively use the two techniques of screenprinting and woodblocking in combination. Unusually they also still use oil-based inks to create the prints. In the 1990s the focus of the company shifted to incorporate a gallery space, publishing and exhibiting work made in the studio by artists who had been invited to make prints there. The artists published by Advanced Graphics London tend to be painters with a primary discipline of oil or acrylic on canvas. The prints made at the studio are not reproductions from paintings, rather they are original prints conceived as unique pieces (monoprints) or multiples (editions) on paper from the beginning. The prints signed, numbered and dated by the artists and have been presented in bespoke frames using conservation techniques. For more information visit Advanced Graphics London website at
