2 Welcome to our Drawing Show BA Drawing at Falmouth University is once again delighted to be able to exhibit student work in Gallery Tresco. The island of Tresco plays a very special part in the early part of the course when students spend a week drawing the landscapes, the seascapes, the plant and animal life. The students value this experience highly and remember the magic of Tresco with great affection. The drawings in this exhibition have all been made in the academic year and they represent memories, impressions and direct observations started during their field trip and developed in the studio. The act of learning to draw starts with learning to look. Tresco is a rich and varied visual feast without comparison and we will be forever grateful to Lucy and Robert Dorrien-Smith for their unfailing support, generosity and kindness. Also many thanks to Anna Parkes for encouraging the students to take their first tentative steps into the world of professional galleries.
