Enrichment- Manufacturing Food Packet (Jute) cut a peace of jute (23x30 cm) & put 1 teaspoon of cereal in the middle fold the jute lengthwise every 10 cm, starting from the bottom then fold both ends inwards to produce a square 1
pull 3 fibers (each 20 cm long) out of the jute and tie the packet with them (tie every fiber separately) 2
Big Piñata (Jute) cut 8 rectangles of jute (12x10 cm) blow up 1 balloon (diameter of 15 cm) & tie the end of the balloon with 1 jute fiber (length 8 cm) mix 3 tablespoons of flour (40 g) with 60 ml water dip the piece of jute in the flour-watermix & glue it on the balloon (leave a hole at the top of the balloon) after the balloon dries, cut the fiber tying the balloon and remove the balloon (the balloon is at most reusable 2 times) cut 8 pieces of jute (12x10 cm) & apply a 2 nd coating of jute (still leaving the balloon hole open) 3
after the balloon dries, fill it with 1 teaspoon of cereal; then cut 2 pieces of jute a 12x10 cm, brush them with the flour-water-mix, and close the hole at the top let the piñata dry again (picture below: finished dried piñata) 4
Food Knot (Jute) cut a triangle of jute a 3 x 4 x 4.6 cm & put 1 teaspoon of cereal on the bottom corner roll up the triangle of jute starting from the bottom corner knot the ends doubly, triply or more if necessary (for more than 3 knots you need a bigger piece of jute) 5
to increase the difficulty of opening the food knot, it can brushed with the flour-water-mix & dried again (s. left picture: right knot untreated; left one brushed with flour-water-mix) 6
Food Knot (Paper) put 1 teaspoon of cereal in the middle of the bottom corner of a paper rectangle (50x20 cm) roll the paper & twist it knot the ends doubly, triply or more if necessary (for more than 3 knots you need a bigger piece of paper) 7
to increase the difficulty of opening the food knot, it can brushed with the flour-water-mix & dried again (s. left picture: right knot untreated; left one brushed with flour-watermix) 8
Food Packet (Paper) brush one side of a paper rectangle (33x40 cm) with a flour-water-mix & put 1 teaspoon of cereal in the middle of the bottom half fold the rectangle twice starting from the bottom brush both sides with the flour-water-mix 9
fold one end twice inwards turn the rectangle & fold the other end twice inwards let it dry (s. left picture: finished object after drying) 10
Big Piñata (Paper) fold a paper square (50x50 cm) twice: first so that it forms a triangle, and then fold the triangle again in the reverse direction, so that when you open the paper the 2 folds form a cross or 4 triangles (top, bottom, left & right triangle) fold the upper half-rectangle in a way down, so that half of the right triangle extends to the middle of the bottom triangle fold the other half of the right triangle to the right border of the bottom triangle 11
analogously, fold the lower half of the left triangle in such a way that it extends to the middle of the bottom triangle & you fold the upper half of the left triangle so, that it extends to the left border of the bottom triangle- all in all you get a new two-ply triangle fold the upper layer of the triangle in a way that the right lower vertex extends to the upper vertex the same procedure for the left side (i.e. left lower vertex extends to the upper vertex) resulting in 2 new smaller triangles 12
turn the paper & do the same for the opposite side, resulting in 4 triangles total (2 on each side) fold the vertex of the left & right triangle inwards do the same on the other side 13
fold on every side the new smaller triangles on each other, so that you couldn t see them (s. picture below) one vertex is closed (s. left picture) & one is open (s. picture below) 14
cut a piece (length: 3-6 cm) from the open vertex; put your hand in the hole & unfold the piñata (you can also unfold it by blowing into the piñata over the open uncut vertex) cut overlapping borders, so that the piñata stands (s. picture below) 15
brush the piñata inside & outside with the flour-water mix. Also brush the flour-water mix on both side of some pieces of paper (8 of size 7x15 cm and 2 of size 6x13 cm). stick 2 big pieces of paper on every side & the 2 small pieces on the bottom of the piñata (the hole must be left open) after drying (s. left picture) put a second coating like the first one on the piñata; then fill it with1 teaspoon of cereal; paste over the hole with 4 pieces of paper (7x15 cm) & let it dry again (picture below shows a finished piñata) 16
Bamboo Saw off 1 peace of bamboo off, so that only one end is left open Using a thin stick or something similar, put 1 teaspoon of cereal in the bamboo close the hole with 2-3 raisins depending on how big it is 17
Muesli Coil brush flour-water mix on both side of a jute rectangle (20x25 cm) & put 1 teaspoon of cereal in the middle of the bottom coil the jute from the bottom up; then twist the coil & brush it again with the water-flour-mix (s. left picture below); afterwards let it dry (s. right picture below: dried muesli coil) 18
Food Plait (paper) divide 1 teaspoon of cereal onto 3 paper strips (50x20 cm) roll up every strip tie 2 strips together twice at one end (s. left picture) & wrap the 3 rd strip around the knot end (s. picture below) 19
braid all 3 strips together & tie the ends together brush the food plait with the flourwater-mix (s. left picture) & let it dry (s. picture below: dried finished food plait) 20
Small Piñatas (Paper) brush flour-water mix on both sides of a piece of paper (24x26 cm); put 1 teaspoon of cereal on the lower half & fold the paper over once (s. picture below) after that fold both the left & right side inwards fold the lower border over another time (s. left picture) & then fold short pieces on the left & right sides innwards (s. picture below) 21
fold the paper-strip together & let the small piñata dry 22
Small Piñatas (Jute) Brush flour-water mix on both sides of a piece of jute (28x25 cm); put1 teaspoon of cereal on the lower half & fold the lower end up (s. picture below) after that fold the left & right side inwards fold the lower border up again (s. left picture) & then fold the rectangle together lengthwise (s. picture below) 23
fold the rectangle together, wrap a fiber (of length 24 cm) around it once, tie the string, & let the small piñata dry 24
