1 1.5T HIGH FIELD SMALL ANIMAL MRI Designed Specifically for Veterinarians TECHNICAL GUIDE
2 ADVANCING THE ART AND SCIENCE OF VETERINARY MRI The PetVet is the only high-field MRI system designed specifically for veterinarians. The Hallmarq MRI scientists are solely dedicated to making sure that its MRI machines meet the needs of veterinarians and their patients.
3 WORLD LEADERS IN VETERINARY SPECIFIC MRI SYSTEMS SUPERIOR IMAGES State-of-the-art veterinary specific 1.5T high field system V-shaped spine coil for 20-percent better signal to noise ratio Veterinary image protocols designed by MRI experts Dual coil capability for imaging difficult areas Transverse FLAIR FSE Canine Brain Sagittal T2 Canine T-L Spine LOW TOTAL COST OF OWNERSHIP No RF shielded room required Designed to be energy efficient Purchased outright or financed through a Pay-As-You-Go model to minimise a large capital investment Zero boil off cold head which means no routine helium refills EASY TO USE Does not require an MRI technologist Initial and ongoing training and support Each system is monitored every five minutes for proactive diagnosis Standardised protocols in a drop-down menu for quick selection (breed, spine, etc.) Remotely maintained by Hallmarq support team Patient monitoring via video camera 3
4 HEAD COIL V-SHAPED PATIENT BED AND COIL PetVet s unique veterinary head coil uses an elongated design to give greater coverage than a typical human head coil. The three sizes of head coils each make maximum use of the 50-cm imaging volume, giving better anatomical coverage in each scan. The head coil is particularly effective acquiring excellent images of cat spines. The V-shaped patient bed and spine coil is designed to facilitate imaging in dorsal recumbency and optimise SNR. Human spine coils are flat which is a poor fit for a dog s anatomy. FLAT PATIENT BED AND FLEX COILS INTEGRATED RF SHIELD The Hallmarq patient bed can be fitted with in-filler cushions to give a flat surface for lateral recumbency. The door closes while scans are in progress to complete the RF shield. Monitoring leads and anaesthetic tubing exit via waveguides. 4
