2 STEP 1 INSTALL LEDS UF-7 INSTALLATI INSTRUCTIS A. Choose where you want to install the LEDs. Next, choose the blink MODE mainly want to use. (see pages 4-7) you NOTE The blink MODE you choose tells you where to plug each LED into the UF-7. B. Drill Holes for LED Holders. Be careful to not drill the hole too large. NOTE - You can purchase a hand drill from your local RC hobby store) C. Insert LED Holders into Holes D. Insert LEDs into LED Holders Once the LED is installed into the LED holder, if the holder is too loose simply add some pliable glue to it (shoe goo or similar) NOTE - You can purchase the proper glue from your local RC hobby store)

NOTE: Two mounting tabs may be easily twisted off if not used. F. Connect LEDs to the UF-7 Controller NOTE: How you connect each LED depends on what blink MODE you want to use. Please see STEP 3 bel low to choose which mode matches how you want to use your LEDs. Example Let s say you want to add headlights, tail/brake lights, and turn signals to your car. You will use MODE #5 below. Connect your HEADLIGHT LEDs to outputs A, D or E. Connect your TAIL LIGHTS to outputs B, connect your RIGHT side blinkers to output F, and your LEFT side blinkers to output C. STEP 2 CNECTING PO 9V Power Option If you wish to power you OWER ur UF-7 using a 9V battery, you can easily do this by plugging the 9V Adapter cable into either connector 1 or 2 as shown. If you don t see the power LED blink or turn on steady then presss the MODE button one time. Connect 9V Adapter into either Connector 1 or 2. MODE Button NOTE: If you don t seem to be getting power, check the orientation of the 9V adapter cable as it should be installed in the orientation shown above.

Vehicle s Battery Power Option UF-7 INSTALLATI INSTRUCTIS Power LED If you wish to power your UF-7 from you vehicle s battery then you need to use the Y-Adapter Power Cable(s) provided with your UF-7

4 Vehicle s Battery Power Option UF-7 INSTALLATI INSTRUCTIS Power LED If you wish to power your UF-7 from you vehicle s battery then you need to use the Y-Adapter Power Cable(s) provided with your UF-7 controller. Also, the Y Adapter must be used if you wish to have Brake Light or Turn Signals Functions. Your UF-7 comes with two Y Adapters, one to split power and the brake signal from your motor and the other to split power and turn signal from your steering servo. We advise fully connecting one servo cable at a time to avoid mixing up your servo cables. Plug this connector to your vehicle s radio Plug this connector to your UF-7. Connect Motor cable to header 1 Connect Steering cable to header 2 Plug this connector into the corresponding servo that you disconnected. NOTE: If you don t plan to use Brake Lights or Turn Signals, then you can plug the Y cables into any open header on your radio. To ensure adequate power, we do suggest you use two Y cables if you have more than 6 LEDs connected to your UF-7 controller.

5 STEP 3 SETTING MODE UF-7 INSTALLATI INSTRUCTIS The UF-7 has many different pre-programmed output MODES to best fit your lighting requirements. Pressing the MODE button scrolls through the various modes. Once you reach the last mode, the next button press sets the unit back to MODE #0 (OFF). The default MODE is #1 (ALL ). Each time you press the MODE button the power LED will blink the number of times to match the MODE that you re in. For Example, 5 blinks means you re in MODE #5. After blinking, the power LED will stay on steady to indication that you have power. NOTE: MODE #0 (ALL OFF) does still draw a small amount to power. 8 MODE #8 Stoplight GREEN 1 YELL 1 RED 1 UF-7 INSTALLATI INSTRUCTIS OFF GREEN 2 YELL 2 RED 2 SPEC: GREEN = 15sec, YELL = 5sec, RED = 20sec. Group 1 and 2 are oppositely synchronized so it can control both directions in the intersection. MOUNTING The two mounting tabs are designed so they can be cut off if you prefer not to use them. Alternately, the UF-7 can be mounting to most surfaces using the foam tape on the bottom of the unit. Enjoy your new Lights!
