2 TOOLS NEEDED 5/8 Step Drill Bit Hand Drill or Cordless Drill Measuring Tape or Ruler Grease Pencil (White or Black) Small Tie Wraps Silicone Adhesive Sealant Phillips Screw Driver 10mm Deep Socket T-25 Torx Bit Ratchet Handle for Socket and Torx Step #1 Removing the rear wing (spoiler) To remove the wing from the rear hatch, open the glass in the rear hatch. Use the 10 MM twelve point deep socket to loosen and remove four (4) nuts fastening the wing to the hatch hinge. (figure 1) Loosen and remove the four (4) large head Torx screws from the rear glass. (figure 2) (Fig 1a) (Fig 1b) Figure 1 Figure 2 From the outer edge of the wing, lift the wing upward. (Figure 3) Once the wing has been separated from the hatch and before it is completely removed, set it up and out of the way as shown. (Figure 4) 2

3 Figure 3 Figure 4 Step #2 Cable Penetration Mark a spot about half way between the wiper pivot and the anchor, and set back about 1.5 from the edge. Drill (1) 5/8 hole (Figure 5) through the outer sheet metal. Be careful not to penetrate further into the vehicle or hit the wiper motor. Figure 5 3

4 Insert the supplied rubber grommet into the newly drilled hole. (Figure 6) Feed the cable through the grommet, from outside (Fig 6) to inside (Fig 7) of vehicle. A small amount of lubricant may be used to ease pulling the long length of cable through the grommet. (Figure 8) Figure 6 Figure 7 (Fig 2c) (Fig 2d) Figure 8 4

5 Disconnect the plastic cable conduit from at both ends. (Fig 9) Route the long cable through the sheet metal of the hatch and into the plastic conduit. Run cable into vehicle body, close to the wire side of the existing connector. (Fig 9) Replace cable conduit at both ends. (Fig 10) (Fig 2e) Figure 9 Figure 10 5

6 Step #3 Light Bar Prep Attach mounting brackets to light bar using Philips pan head screws and lock washers. Be sure the longer bracket is on the outside and shorter bracket to the inside. (Fig 11) Tie back cable connector with tie wrap, to prevent contact with wiper. (Fig 12) Add an additional tie wrap to be used for securing the long cable once light bar has been mounted on vehicle. 7 Step #4 Installing Light Bar Replace the spoiler and secure with the four (4) 10mm hex nuts. Slide light bar into place by slipping mounting brackets between rear glass and spoiler. (Fig 13). Be sure mounting brackets rest flush against glass. (Fig 14) Figure 13 Figure 14 7

8 Replace the large head Torx screws but do not tighten completely. Adjust the location and mounting brackets to center light bar on vehicle and flush with underside of spoiler. (Fig 15) Finish tightening all the fasteners. Route the long cable through the previously installed zip tie. Connect the long cable to the light bar and pull zip tie tight. Figure 15 8

9 Check that there is enough slack in the cable between the hatch and the light bar with hatch closed and glass fully open. It should look like the cable shown in (Fig 16) Too much slack here could tangle with the wiper. Adjust the cable slack by pushing or pulling through the grommet as needed. Close glass and check wiper for interference. Seal the grommet with silicone adhesive sealant to prevent and water working its way into vehicle. Figure 16 9

10 Step #5 Wiring Red +12Vdc Black Ground Orange Warning Mode 1 Blue Warning Mode 2 Orange & Blue Warning Mode 3 Red/White Right Arrow Brown/White Left Arrow Red/White & Brown/White Center Out Brown N/A Green Intensity Control PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS Entering Programming Mode: To activate programming mode, connect the BLACK Wire to ground then simultaneously attach the GREEN wire and the RED wire to +12 Vdc. Changing Warning Patterns and Flash Rates: Three unique warning patterns can be selected using the ORANGE and BLUE mode selection wires. See example below: ORANGE WIRE = Warning Mode 1 BLUE WIRE = Warning Mode 2 ORANGE & BLUE WIRE = Warning Mode 3 To change the warning mode, attach the wire(s) corresponding to the mode to be changed to +12Vdc. Tap the Red/WHITE wire to +12Vdc to advance the flash pattern. See the list of available flash patterns below. A unique flash rate can be assigned to each warning mode. To change the flash rates enter the programming mode as described above. Move the green wire from +12Vdc to Ground. Tap the BROWN/WHITE wire to +12Vdc to advance the flash rate. See the list of available flash rates below. 10

11 Changing Traffic Direction Patterns and Flash Rates: To change the Traffic Direction pattern, activate the programming mode by connecting the BLACK Wire to ground then simultaneously attach the GREEN wire, RED/WHITE wire and the RED wire to +12 Vdc. Tap the BROWN wire to +12Vdc to advance the flash pattern. See the list of available Traffic Direction patterns below. A unique flash rate can be assigned to the Traffic Direction mode. To change the flash rates enter the programming mode as described above. Move the green wire from +12Vdc to Ground. Tap the BROWN wire to +12Vdc to advance the flash rate.
