2 Panavia TORNADO F3 is model for experienced modellers. It requires fast reactions and slow heart rate. Model is powered by ducted fan Vasafan 65, electric motor Mega Acn 16/15/2 and 10 cells pack NiCd 1600 mah For final assembling of model is needed polyurethane glue (PUREX), cyanoacrylate glue, glue gun, epoxy glue. Also you need standard model hobby tool. Model is equipped with 2-3 servos (recommended are Graupner C261 or similar), controller JETI Acn 40 and reliable, safe receiver. All the time is necessary to have on mind model is flying more than 100 km/h and any disturbance means destroy of model, damage of estate or person injury. Therefore is recommended to fly on model airport or open place. Never start model directly against person. 3 5. Drill hole for picket to fuselage 6. Drill hole to the top cover of wing on sign place by screw knob 7. Set up the fuselage, wing, top cover and mark gap for wing screws 8. Drill holes for screws (for wing holding) 9. Parts for holding the wing stick by cyanoacrylate glue 10. Servo holder for elevator is sticked on right side of fuselage. 11. 4 15. Stick top cover by glue gun 16. Stick rudder by cyanoacrylate glue 17. Drill hole for tow hook on mark place 18. Fix hook in position by glue gun or by epoxy glue 19.Detail of mounted hook 20. 7 45. Solder the ends of antenna and holder together 46. Complete model Deflection alignment: aileron +10 mm, -4 mm (on root of aileron) elevator + 10, -10 mm (on root of strain edge of elevator) Joint plane of fuselage is at once axis of elevator. Centre of Gravity (CG) is marked on fuselage under the wings (7-7,5 cm from strain edge of wing). Position of CG adjusts by moving of battery in fuselage. All cables must be hold tight to fuselage to prevent their intake to fan. Check right rotating direction of fan! Flight with model on airfield or similar place. Start is executed by rubber catapult put together of 10m of rubber (6x6mm) and 15 m of silon (100) with metal ring at the end. You can also add next silon for holding model before start (see drawing). During the fly be careful of loss the - rudders are not blast from propeller- and fall to spinner. Important warning: In case of using melt gun for sticking of parts do not expose model to higher temperature than 50 C. At manipulation with rotating fan be care of intake of parts into fan (including your fingers). Velocity of the ends of propeller is about 130 m/s.
