To ensure the durability of your stainless steel device, please adhere to the following care instructions: Clean the stainless steel surface regularly to maintain its shiny appearance. Use cleansing agents intended for stainless steel surfaces and follow the manufacturer s application guidelines. In case rust marks become visible despite regular cleaning, these rust marks stem from flash rust. These particles (carried by air) can easily be removed with an appropriate cleansing agent. Please note that Behnke intercoms and accessories may only be installed and serviced by qualified electricians in compliance with all relevant safety provisions. Before carrying out service and maintenance work, please ensure that the devices are safely disconnected from the power grid (unplug power supply unit) and are disconnected from any other network. 7 Assembly Instructions GB 3. Assembly Instructions 3.1. Fixing the column mount and assembling column body and stand Fix the column mount to the concrete basis e.g. by using hex screws and plugs, stud bolts or stay bolts. Please note: These parts are not included in the box. Put the column s base cover on the column s base. Please note that you cannot insert the column s base cover at a later stage due to the air vents in the column body. Then put the column body through the column s base cover and fix the column body to the basis. Insert the door intercom and the cover panel(s) and fix with clamping plates. Use the angle plate to fix the lowest cover panel. Then move down the column s base cover. 23

8 GB GB Assembly Instructions 3.2. Column with one Behnke door intercom Height 1.75 m for pedestrians (for example) 1 Fix the door intercom or the module in question to the column. To do so, please use the screws provided in the box. Use a clamping plate to fix the door intercom s lower end. Pedestrians 1 W Speaker Professional camera (illuminated) Call button, label Then fix the cover panel marked starting Microphone plate so that the straight cut edge points towards the end of the column. The chamfered edge points towards the Behnke door intercom device or module frame. Use a second clamping plate to fix the lower edge of the cover panel. Cover panels set Use the cover panel marked closing panel to close the remainder of the column. In case the cover panel is too long, please shorten it accordingly. Please note that the distance to the column s base must not be greater than 5 mm. 4 When fixing the closing cover, please make sure that the two drilled holes point up. 9 Assembly Instructions GB 3.3. Column with two Behnke door intercoms Height 2.20 m for lorries and cars (for example) Fix the door intercom or the module in question to the column. To do so, please use the screws provided in the box.
