GB /

5 Fig. 4 After ensuring that the space will allow the power cable to be connected to the mains, insert the appliance, if necessary adjusting the height of the feet as shown in Fig. 4. If the worktop is made of wood, please consult the section TOP FASTENING before inserting the appliance into the space. Likewise, when FITTING AT THE END OF A COMPOSITION, consult the relative section before inserting the appliance into the space. By adjusting in this way it is possible to vary the height of the under worktop unit by up to 6 cm, bringing the height to 875 mm. Insert the mopboard and then the ventilation grate (SEE CAUTIONS AND ADVICE), moving it lengthwise on the guides provided until it comes into contact with the base itself, as shown illustrated in Fig. 4. Lock the grate to the mopboard, using the self-tapping screws provided. GB /

25 2.5 Combined free-standing Reason for the Product The new Ariston combined unit has been created to deal with the needs of the European Fitted Fridge Market. This is because European Consumers require a larger working volume; while at the same time new ecological regulations enforce reduced power consumption and thus an increase in the thickness of fridge walls. Furthermore, standardisation of the manufacture of Modular kitchen units means that a 60 cm. unit is obligatory. The new Ariston combined deals with all these needs and more, with its working volume of 340 lt that can be fitted with ease into 60 cm Product Dimensions (Fig. 37) Fig mm The dimensions of the new Ariston Combined make it possible to use the traditional components (Door and Side walls) offered by Kitchen Manufacturers: Height 2020 mm Depth Width 550 mm 560 mm Compressor and Condenser (Fig. 37), inserted in the base, are self-ventilating to guarantee improved operation and reliability. The product can thus be installed directly in contact with the rear wall: it is no longer necessary to leave passages for air at the rear of the column, or to cut the mopboard to insert ventilation grates. GB /

26 2.5.3 General Points for Installation (Fig. 38) Compared with traditional products, which are fitted into a column, the new Ariston combined stands on the floor. Side walls, door and mopboard are fitted easily and perfectly to the product itself. In this way the largest possible working volume is available for the end User: 340 lt. The installation system (Fig. 38) makes it possible to satisfy all the furnishing solutions offered by Kitchen Manufacturers, as shown by the following figures: Mopboard height: Standard Side Walls: from 100 to 150 mm Thickness from 16 to 20 mm Depth from 550 mm (min) Column height from 1920 mm (min) Door in the standard cold column measurements, for a 60 cm modular unit The adjustment systems available ensure perfect alignment with adjacent overhead and base units. N.B. The combined unit must be fixed to the wall at the top (Item D Fig. 43).
