Timmins, Ontario This report on the electromagnetic and magnetic surveys, is submitted under the Special Provision dated October 16, 1967, for credit 60 assessment work days for each survey per claim,. The person in charge the linecutting and geophysical work was Mr. E. A. Gallo.

2 Coulson 1-71 ration - The property, which consists 13 contiguous unpatented mining claims numbered , , , , and inclusive, is located in the southeastern quarter Coulson Township as follows: Claim Number Location Lot la, Concession II Lot la, Concession II Lot l, Concession II Lot l, Concession II Lot la, Concession II Lot 1A, Concession III Lot l, Concession III Lot la, Concession II Lot 1A, Concession II Lot l, Concession II Lot l, Concession II Lot l, Concession II Lot l, Concession II The claim group is located approximately 10 miles northwest Matheson, Ontario. Access - The property is reached by way a paved road which leads to within 2 miles the southwest corner the property from High way #101 at a point 2 miles east Matheson, Ontario. The property is then reached by a winter road. Topography - The property is characterized by low hills glacial till and outcrop. Vegetion is spruce^and^jack pine. Linecutting - Two grids were cut on the property. The first arid has one Base Line which extends 4400' at an azimuth 13Q0 from a point 330' north and 230' west Post #4 Claim # The, second grid has one Base Line which extends 6400* at an azimuth 2850 from a point 240' south and 50' west Post #1 Claim # Traverse lines were cut at right^angles to the Base Lines at 400'

3 -2- :ervals. The Base Line and traverse lines were chained and picketed at j.00' intervals 4 in all, about 16.2 miles line were cut, chained, and picketed. Electromagnetic Survey - JJw&BSllKJJfi^,8 were performed, one using the Crone V.E.M. and one using the The Crone V.E.M. is. a dual fre^meagy.junit capable operation at 480 cycles per second^, 1800 cycles per second or both frequencies simultaneously. The equipment consists a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter is composed a transmitter coil, transmitter console, and 6 Volt battery power source. The receiver is composed a search coil, amplifier, clinometer, and headphones. The transmitter coil is energized by a direct current from a 6 Volt battery, resulting in the production a primary magnetic field. This primary field links with any conductor in its vicinity producing an induced current which gives rise to a secondary magnetic field. At a given receiving station, the direction and magnetude the primary field is altered by the secondary field. The direction the resultant field is determined by means the search coil with its attached clinometer. Measurements are made in terms dip angles and are recorded in terms degrees. The plotting the dip angles at both frequencies gives priles which are useful in estimating the depth the conductor axis, the dip the conductor, and its relative conductivity. The range penetration is normally considered to be approximately one-half the separation distance between the transmitter and receiver, although other factors such as conductivity the overburden must also be considered. The McPhar V.L.E.M. is also a dual frequency instrument capable operation at 1000 cycles per second, 5000 cycles per second^or both frequencies simultaneously. The equipment consist a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter is composed a transmitter coil, transmitter console, and motor generator. The receiver is composed a search coil, amplifier, clinometer, and headphones.

The primary magnetic field links with any conductor in its vicinity/ producing an induced current which gives rise to a secondary magnetic field. At a given receiving station, the direction and magnitude the primary field is altered by the secondary field. The results the 2 vertical loop electromagnetic surveys are shown on the prints accompanying this report. The original survey located a strong conductor to the south the Base Line which tiends at an angle approximately 30O to the Base Line. This conductor extends from 1+50N on Line 40E to 12+50S on Line 8E on the original grid. Several short, weakly conductive zones were located on Claims L and L inclusive. These conductive zones are subparallel to the major one mentioned above and trend at an angle approximately N75OW. A ^econd grid was cut and several Claims were added tqjjie. original claim grou^ in order to better define the major conductive zone to the south Base Line #1. This conductive zone extends from 1+25S on Line O to 1+50S on Line 64W, a length 6400' with a break on Line 12W only. The conductor is moderately to strongly conductive and appears to dip nearly vertically. A dual frequency crossover weak conductivity was located at 18+50S on Line 20W on the southern boundary the property. Magnetic Survey - The instrument used was a Magnetometer. Model M-700.

5 -4- asa T.inaa ar^d ajll readings were calculated relative to the base readings. Readings were taken at the base control stations at periodic intervals to discern day-to day and diurnal drift. Any changes noted in the magnetic intensity were then applied as factors and progressive adjustments were made to each reading taken during that specific period time. The results the magnetic surveys are shown on the prints accompanying this report. Background readings for the first survey are between 20 and 150 gammas with the highest magnetic intensity being 770 gammas located at 5+50S on Line 32E. Several negative values were recorded. Only the southern extremity the grid contains any significant magnetic relief and this is better defined by the second survey. The second survey indicates a definite magnetic trend N75OW which parallels the major conductor. Background magnetics vary between 100 and 300 gammas. The highest magnetic intensity recorded is 995 gammas and is located at 3+50S on Line 28W. A zone high magnetics (300 to 995 gammas) lies approximately 400' south the major conductor and is parallel to it. This zone is discontinuous with no high magnetics recorded on Lines O, 8W, 32W, 44W, and 48W. There is a general magnetic build up from East to West. Conclusions and Recommendations - The conductive zone interest is very long and strongly conductive which is characteristic graphitic sediments. The magnetic survey indicates a possible geological contact parallel to and south the Base Line. The property should be mapped geologically with special emphasis on the geophysical anomalies located.
