Chisholm. The claim names and record numbers are I isted : Claim Name Record Number Leo 1-24 inclusive 51,894-51,917 inclusive Leo 25 59,206 The survey described in this report was conducted within the boundaries of the above listed mineral claims. Claim boundaries and claim names are shown on the accompanying plan maps (Drawings I 4, 2). The Claim Group is located near the headwaters of Rey Creek, situated 12 miles due north of the village of Nicola, B.C. Access to the property is by 4 wheel drive road departing from the Merritt-Logan Lake Road at the south end of Mamit Lake. (See Figure A). Elevation of the claims ranges between 4500 and 5000 feet above sea level, the topography low bush cover The Induced Po reconnai ssaiice and the detai I being gentle. Forest cover is mainly young jack pine with ng the large swamp areas in the south of the claim group. arization Survey was carried out in two stages, the phase during the period June 5, 1973 and June 15, 1973 phase during the period September 26, 1973 and September 29, Both phases of the survey were carried out by four employees of Noranda Exploration Company, Limited under the direction of R.C. Heim, P. Eng. and J.T. Walker, Geophysicist. n.../2

6 -2 - I.P. & Resistivity Survey on the Leo 1-25 Mineral Claims - contld GENERAL GEOLOGY According to G.S.C. Map 886A the 'ILeolf claims are underlain by volcanic rocks of the Upper Triassic Nicola Group. The claim group is covered by a mantle of possibly deep glacial debris. No outcrop was found. F I oat cons i sts mai 11 I y of rounded bou I ders of granod i or i ti c compos i t i on, with some float of Kamloops Groups volcanics in the NW corner of the property. GR I D PREPARAT I ON A 0 A control grid was developed using chain and compass, stations were picketed and flagged at two hundred foot intervals. One base I ine 8200 feet I ong was estab I i shed and seven gr i d I i lies spaced 800 feet were deve I oped for the reconnai ssance phase. These gr i d I i lies were prepared by Amex Exploration Services Ltd., of Kamloops. Eight additional I ines were developed for the detai I survey by a Noranda crew. I NWCED POLAR I ZAT I ON AND RES I ST I VI TY SURVEY The Induced Polarization and Resistivity survey was carried out uti I izing var i ab I e frequency I.P. equ i pment owned by Noraiida Exp Ic~rat i on Cmpany, Limited and manufactured by Sabre Electronic I nstrurnents Limited, North Burnaby, B.C. The survey was conducted employing frequencies of 0.3 Hz and 5.0 Hz. The dipole-dipole electrode array was used with a dipole length of 400 feet. Readings were taken with the dipoles separated by 400 feet and 800 feet. (i.e. I1 = I & 2). Method Throughout the survey, the following field procedure was carried out for the recorded readings at each llset up11 along the prepared I ines. The dipole-dipole configuration (+ CI PIP2) being employed. A current is injected into the earth between electrodes C, and CI, and the induced voltage produced between the porous pot electrodes PI and P2 is measured..../3
7 -3- I.P. 8 Res i sti vity Survey - cont Id A four man crew, one man at each electrode conducts the survey moving e I ectrodes, connect i ng w i res and i nstruments, stat i on to stat i on, a I oiig the survey I ines. At each llset-upii the station location of each electrode (C2 Ct PI P2)is recorded and the fol I ow i ng e I ectr i ca I measurements are read and recorded. I ) Transmitter current on frequency 5 Hz (current recorded in mi I I i ampers) 2) Receiver measures the developed voltage (recorded in mi I I ivolts) 3) Transmitter current mai &-ai lied constant by frequency changed to 0.3 Hz. 4) Receiver measures voltage change as a percent deviation caused solely by the change in frequency of current. (Percent dev i at i on of voltage recorded as Percent Frequency Effect). 0 By definition, Percent Frequency Effect, is the percent change of resistivity caused by a change in the frequency of the current. Since resistivity is directly proportioned to voltage, if the current is consl-ant at each frequency, the percent change of res i st i vi ty equa I s percent change of voltage. The resistivity value for each llset-upll is calculated frwn the recorded current and voltage measurements and the array dimension measured i ii feet. This equation is : Pa = - V 2 r xk I Where : V = millivolts I = mi I hampers x ' = dipole length k = array constant.../4
8 -4 - I.P. & Resistivity Survey - contld PRESENTATION OF RESULTS The resu I ts of the survey are presented on two p Ian maps at a scale of I inch equals 400 feet. Drawing No. I shows Percent Frequency Effect readings contoured at I.5 and 3.0% F.E. Drawing No. 2 shows the calculated resistivity values. These values are the apparent resistivity divided by 2n' with the dimension of ohm feet. Contour interval is 100 ohm feet. On both Drawings, only the first separation (11 = I) results are contoured. D I SCUSS I ON OF RESULTS Resu I ts of the i nduced PO percent frequency effect. frm 3.0 to 6$ FE. is ind arization survey show a background of One anomalous zone with a response ranging cated. The zone centres on the Leo I I M.C. lying between I ines 20N and 40N., and extending from the 50 E Base I ine to 43 E on I ine 32N.
