1 Available Works Updated August 14th, 2011 A Group exhibition Featuring Vintage Aquatic Paintings Re-Imagined by 30 Artists AUGUST 12th SEPTEMBER11th, 2011 Opening Reception with the Artists: Friday, August 12th, 6-10pm What s the best way to celebrate Subtext s 5th anniversary? Krakens, of course! For this epic show, we ve been hunting down vintage aquatic-themed paintings for over a year now, and we ve found some gems from all over the country. Each artist was given a painting with a body of water in it, and then asked to Kraken-ize it by adding some sea monsters, hydro-creatures or aquatic beasts of their liking. The result will be nothing short of awesome. Release the Kraken marks the 5th year of our gallery, and we couldn t be more excited to celebrate it with you!
