We find it hard to believe that June is gone already? Thinking of time gone by; don't let these wonderful opportunities get by you: 1. Sign up for the Fall Retreat-last time I checked there were five spots open. 2. Sign up for a quilt guild workshop. September: String Star, October: Wool Pumpkin wall hanging, November: Quilting Designs and February: purse workshop. 3. Enter your quilts for the 2014 "Harvest of Quilts" quilt show. The last three dates to turn in your paper work is July 12, 23 and August Whip up a raffle basket or silent auction donation for the quilt show. 5. Sign up to work the quilt show! 6. Come out for social quilting and help make a quilt for the SOS Village. Dates are listed in the newsletter. 7. Check and see if you have paid for your raffle tickets, as well as, your membership renewal. This is an exciting time for our guild. We are very proud of everyone who is working behind the scenes making our guild the best it can be! 4 2014 QUILT SHOW CO-CHAIRS - BARB WROBEL AND KAREN EDGAR *** Comments: June 25, the committee chairs were invited to meet again and report any issues and updates. 1) A 2016 Raffle Quilt Committee was created. 2) Transportation issues have been settled (thanks to Long Arm Bob and Tom Ojermark). The bed turning bed will be picked up and delivered as part of the transportation. 3) The last 3 opportunities to drop off all forms will be July 12, 23 and August 9. 4) Donations of magazines (not older than 2 years), quilt books and patterns can be dropped off on the Friday or early Saturday of the show weekend. 5) There are still outstanding Raffle Tickets/money that has not been turned in please check to see that you have returned all tickets and money. 5 RAFFLE BASKETS - JANET WORATSCHEK RAFFLE TICKET SALES RITA FAGAN SILENT AUCTION SUE BARNHILL AND GAIL HANKS Sue Barnhill and Gail Hanks are collecting items for the Quilt Shows "Silent Auction" Our show is but 4 months away. This is not a lot of time. So please put us on your summer schedule. We will accept anything you would like to make. Variety is a wonderful thing. Crafts, Purses, Totes, Throws, Baby items, quilted or knitted, crocheted items, Wall hangings, Table toppers. Un-Quilted tops are the only unfinished item we would want to display. You can drop them off at Social Quilting, SOS, or to either one of our homes, please call first to make sure we are home. I (Sue) can also pick up donations if the need arises. When you turn in your item please pin a note to it with your name and recommended minimum bid attached. The more items we have the more money we can make to help us with guild functions. We are so looking forward to seeing all the wonderful things that all of you will make. We still need details from a number of you. In order for the Bed-turning Committee to create the program over the summer, we need a completed information sheet for each item you will be sharing. A copy is included in this newsletter. Please provide as much info as you can-photo especially appreciated! Be sure to indicate on your sheet the setting you used. Original settings are welcome.
