He was selected to become CEO, AEDB in view of his distinguished Energy Sector career.

Topic: Biomass & Renewable Energy Challenges & Opportunities in Pakistan Before joining the Wellbeinggreen Team, Mr. Graeme Towers has come to represent some of the most Senior Executive Roles. He has served in the Australian Foreign Service for 15 years as well has been involved with the Australian Quarantine & Inspection Services. He has been involved with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia which is one of the largest listed companies on the Australian Stock Exchange and is included in the Morgan Stanley Capital Global Index.

He established the first technological advanced workshop in Islamabad and introduced Auto Bake painting in Pakistan with the assistance of ICI America and Pakistan. He was adjudged Best trainer by BMW Middle East Dubai thrice.

7 Mr. Bernhard Meyhofer Principal Advisor Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency Topic: Renewable Energies Applications in Pakistan Potentials& Barriers He is the Principal Advisor for the Pakistan German development cooperation programme on renewable energy and energy efficiency promotion (RE EE Programme). He has over 20 years of experience in the development of renewable energy, eco energy efficiency and industrial operations management. His major areas of activity are project management, promotion of renewable energy technologies, improvement of energy efficiency in industry, incl. benchmarking, introduction and application of energy management systems and capacity development. As professional consultant for the development and application i of renewable energy and industrial productivity development schemes he successfully implemented several projects in the Asian region for multinational consultant companies, development agencies and industries. In addition, he has extensive experience in capacity building and institutionalorganizational development as well as energy policy formulation.

9 Mr. Saeed Iqbal EVP & Group Head Banking, United Bank Ltd. Investment Topic: Alternative Energy Key Financing Perspectives He holds a B.Sc. (Econ) Honours degree from the London School of Economics and an MA in Development Economics from the University of Sussex. He has extensive Investment Banking experience especially with respect to Project & Structured Finance. He was the Head of Structured Finance at ANZ Investment t Bank, Pkit Pakistan where he wasresponsible for originating, structuring and executing projects in the energy, telecom, oil & gas, infrastructure and ports sectors, amongst others. She has served the country and profession as Senator, Member Provincial Assembly Sindh, Member Governing Body PEC, Member Executive of IEP and worked in Pakistan s renowned public & private sector organizations.

Ltd Topic: Exciting New Opportunities for PV Solar Field in Pakistan He was graduated in Electrical Engineering in 1971 from the Engineering College, University of Peshawar and later did his Masters in Electrical Engineering from Technical University AacheninGermany. Currently he is heading the Department of Renewable Energies in Siemens Pakistan. He has also been head of T&D Services Department in Siemens Pakistanforover10yearsnow.Heisahighlyexperienced engineer with more than 30 years of professional experience mainly in the Energy Sector in electrical system design, large projects (acquisition and execution), network consultancy and renewable energies.

Ehtisham Ul Haque Expert, Environmental & Risk Management Industry Ceres Associates Gulf Topic: Role of Residential i & Commercial (PV Thermal) Roof Top Units Self Reliance in Energy He is an honours graduate from University of Sindh in Agriculture Engineering and civil engineering from Military college of engineering. Specialized training in environmental and waste management. Based in Los Angles, California, he has been associated with environmental and waste management industry since Alternate energy in the form of landfill gas to energy, biomass to energy and waste energy has been one of the expert areas he has been associated with for lasttwentyt years. His passion with solar energy started back in 1984 and has continued to date. He considers himself a student, a researcher and project planner in the alternate energy area.

He leads the Sustainable Development Research Center (SDRC) at SZABIST. He represented Pakistan at the International Renewable Energy Agency 3 rd Preparatory Commission Meeting and World Future Energy Summit held at Abu Dhabi, U.A.E in January He also moderated a round table discussioni at World Future Energy Summit in Abu Dhabi on Renewable Energy Policies of Germany, China, India and Pakistan. He has participated in policy formulation of Renewable Energy in Pakistan at the regional and national workshops heldby Alternative Energy Development Board.

14 Mr. Usman Hameed Head Project Financing, Habib Bank Limited Topic: Commercial Lenders Perspective on Wind Power Sector Usman Hameed holds B.Sc Engineering and MBA from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). He has been with HBL since 1999 and has rich experience in Project and Structured Finance, Corporate and Remedial Banking. He is currently leading a team of professionals in Project Finance. Some of the notable projects are Orient Power first power project to achieve financial close under 2002 polity, HUBCO Narowal first expansion project by an existing IPP and Laraib Energy first Hydel power project in Pakistan in private sector. Currently he is involved in number of wind power projects including namely FFC Wind, Zorlu, Lucky Energy and Sapphire Wind.
