1 Board of s Dr. J N Singh, IAS Chairman Dr. J N Singh, IAS is Chief Secretary, Government of Gujarat. He has very rich and varied experience of 33 years holding various positions in Government of Gujarat and Government of India. He has served largely in Infrastructure & Finance sector including Industrial Infrastructure, Power, Telecom, Information Technology, Highways, Water, etc. He was Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department, Government of Gujarat from to , Jt. Managing of GIDC, Member of Gujarat Electricity Board and Managing of Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Limited. Shri D.C. Anjaria Mr. D. C. Anjaria took his M. B. A. from IIM, Ahmedabad in He joined Citibank in Bombay, spent 7 years in India, and 13 years as an International Staff in Africa, the Middle East and Europe. He was Associate of Citibank International Training Centre in Athens, and Chief of Staff at Citicorp Investment Bank at Paris, France.

2 Back in India in 1989, he founded and headed UTI Institute of Capital Markets, where he has taught courses in capital markets and financial risk management. He has developed a Global Balance Sheet Management System as a vehicle for corporate financial control and risk management. Mr. Anjaria has served as a consultant to Citibank in France and Switzerland and Eco Bank in Africa. Mr. Anjaria has advised the Govt. of Indonesia and has served on Govt. of India/SEBI committees on Mutual Funds and Derivatives. He has been Chairman of two SEBI Committees - Short Sales and Brokers' fees. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Derivatives and Capital Markets Segments of the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd. Mr. Anjaria advised the Forward Markets Commission of the Govt. of India, as a World Bank consultant, on Commodity Markets. His consulting firm International Financial Solutions Pvt. Ltd. has advised the Govt. of Gujarat on development of the Financial Sector in Gujarat, having conceptualised the establishment of Gujarat International Finance Tec-city. He was a member of UTI Debt Asset Management Committee. He is also on the Board of Ratnamani Metals and Tubes Ltd, International Financial Solutions Pvt. Ltd, Indian Institute of Financial Services Pvt. Ltd, Gujarat Tech Markets Pvt. Ltd. Dr. Vasant P. Gandhi Dr. Vasant Gandhi is Ph.D., M.S. and M.A. from Stanford, and PGP from Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad. He is

3 currently Professor at IIM, Ahmedabad specializing in economics, marketing and agribusiness. He has been Chairman of the Post- Graduate Programme in Agri-Business Management, and of the Centre for Management in Agriculture at IIM, Ahmedabad. Dr. Gandhi has worked with the World Bank and the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) in Washington for 8 years. He has been visiting professor at the University of Sydney, and the James Cook University in Australia, and has taught at ICRISAT's Centre in Zimbabwe, and the Munich Centre for Advanced Training in Applied Statistics, Germany. Dr. Gandhi has been a consultant to numerous organizations including the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO), the World Food Program, the World Bank, Government of India, Government of Gujarat, Government of Madhya Pradesh, Agriculture Insurance Company of India, McKinsey & Company, Dow, and ITC- Zeneca. Dr. Gandhi has been a member of the international Biotechnology Advisory Council of the US multinational Monsanto, and on the Board of s of various organizations including the seed multinational Advanta, Nuvo Fertilizers, and the State Bank of Saurashtra (SBI group). Dr. Gandhi has written, published and presented extensively, and is on the Editorial Boards of several national and international journals. He represents India on the Council of the International Association of Agricultural Economists (IAAE). His contributions on Gujarat include Gujarat Agricultural Development for Growth and Poverty Reduction report of the World Bank, and Cotton Revolution in Gujarat: The Impact of Bt Technology of IIM, Ahmedabad. His work has been recently referred and used in the World Development Report 2008 of the World Bank.

4 Shri Ajay N. Shah Ajay Shah studied at IIT, Bombay and USC, Los Angeles. He has held positions at the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (Bombay), Indira Gandhi Institute for Development Research (Bombay) and the Ministry of Finance, and now works at NIPFP. His research interests include policy issues on Indian economic growth, open economy macroeconomics, public finance, financial economics and pensions. In the past decade, he was extensively involved in the policy process in the reforms of the equity market and the New Pension System. Shri Vijai Kapoor Shri Vijai Kapoor served in Indian Administrative Service and has later served as Lieutenant Governor of Delhi for 6½ years. He has had rich administrative experience of varied nature. Smt. Geeta Goradia Smt. Geeta Goradia is the immediate Past President of Federation of Gujarat Industries (FGI). She is the first lady to hold this position in the FGI ever since it's inception in She is also a successful

5 entrepreneur and is presently the Managing of Jewel Consumer Care Pvt. Ltd. She has done her MA Honors in Industrial Economics and Law from M.S.University, Vadodara. She has varied experience including being the Lecturer in Business Economics in M.S. University before settling down as a full time entrepreneur. From modest beginning in 1986, the industry she is heading, has grown exponentially. It's the major exporter of Oral Care & House Cleaning Products to more than 50 countries and under her able leadership her company is winning The Top Exporters award from Plastic Export Promotion Council since 2007 consistently. She has to her credit many awards and accolades and to name a few are "Best Women Entrepreneur Award 2008-'09" constituted by Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry; Best Women Entrepreneur Award from Centre for Entrepreneurship Development, Government of Gujarat, Gauravvanta Gujarati Award by International creative Art Society (ICAS) so on and so forth. Apart from being past president of FGI, She is the Senate and Syndicate member of Maharaja Sayajirao University ( ), Member - Gujarat State Social Security Board of Labour and Employment Department, Govt. of Gujarat and Council Member of Gujarat Technology University (GTU). Shri Sujit Gulati, IAS Shri Sujit Gulati, IAS is Mechanical Engineer and Indian Administrative Officer of Gujarat Cadre since 1985.

6 He is having varied and rich experience and has served as Joint Secretary and Financial Advisor, Ministry of Mines of Government of India. He has held key positions in the various Departments/Ministries of Government of Gujarat. He has served as in various companies including Digjam Ltd., National Textile Corporation Limited, Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Limited, Coal India Ltd, Bharat Aluminium Company Limited, Hindustan Zinc Ltd. and Gujarat Chemicals Port Terminal Company Limited. Shri Sujit Gulati, IAS is presently Additional Chief Secretary of Energy and Petrochemicals Department, Government of Gujarat. Shri A M Tiwari, IAS Managing Shri A M Tiwari is a Senior IAS Officer of 1985 batch having experience of more than two decades in the State Education, Tribal and Rural Development, Mines and Geology, Transport and Administration. He had a stint as the Executive of SWA-Shakti Project in the department of Women and Child Development in the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. He was also the Managing of Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd.
