We have gathered a renowned group of industry experts to discuss one of the most pressing problems in broadband: how to make NGA broadly available outside urban city centres. We also thought it is time to change the format of our Investor Day. The most interesting discussions take place during coffee breaks. So why not make this the core of the event? One of the ways of sharing knowledge is through constructive and correctly directed conversations. Such conversations don t just happen. They need to be instigated and one of the most effective ways of doing this is through a Knowledge Café. A Knowledge Café may be defined as a gathering of individuals with a common interest who are prepared to explore ideas surrounding a topic through conversation in order to obtain a more complete understanding of the issues involved. We have organised 6 theme tables which will be hosted by a moderator and an industry expert. A maximum of 8 delegates per table will guarantee that everybody can contribute to the discussion. A session will last for about 30min. Then, delegates can move to another theme table and the next session starts. After 5 rounds a wrap-up session will summarise the main findings and conclude the day. And, yes, we will make sure you will really feel like in a little Café.

3 These are the experts you will have the opportunity to meet Dr Igor Brusic CEO of the Lower Austria Fiber Infrastructure Company (NÖGIG) Dr Harald Gruber Head of Digital Economy and Education division European Investment Bank Anna Krzyzanowska DG CONNECT Head of Unit Broadband European Commission Igor looks back to over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. During his career Igor was able to round off his technical expertise in mobile and fixed networks with in-depth knowledge in regulatory affairs, business modeling, strategic thinking as well as the organization, development and management of telecommunications networks. During the last 7 years Igor s core point of focus has especially been on the implementation of fibre infrastructure projects in rural areas. Igor received his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Zagreb and his PhD in telecommunication and broadband networks from the Technical University of Vienna. Harald oversees project appraisal in the telecommunication and education sectors and advises on the Bank s business strategy with respect to the telecommunications sector and the knowledge economy in general. He has co-authored articles in scholarly refereed journals such as Economic Policy. He is on the editorial board of Telecommunications Policy and Information Economics and Policy. He is also author of the book The Economics of Mobile Telecommunications. He has been also professor at Bocconi University (Milan) for telecommunications economics. Harald holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the London School of Economics. In addition to policy activities, Anna is coordinating the efforts related to Connecting Europe Facility and more recently in relation to the Juncker Plan's potential investments in the digital sector. She joined the Commission in 2005 to implement a 10 billion loan facility for research intensive companies. She then managed the team in charge of evaluation and impact assessment of DG Information Society. Prior to this, she was a Development Director at the EFMD. She had worked seven years at the EBRD in London. Anna holds a Master Degree from the Jagiellonian University and an MBA from INSEAD.

4 Steffen Leiwesmeier SVP Infrastructure and Logistics HSH Nordbank HSH Nordbank Steffen focusses on activities in infrastructure including inter alia roads, power grids & networks, PPP/PFI - and recently broadband and fibre projects. Steffen has vast experience in project finance and successfully closed more than 40 infrastructure transactions in Europe, including fibre projects. He worked with IKB, HBOS and NIBC in Frankfurt and London before. Steffen has a degree in Economics ( Dipl.-Volkswirt) from the University of Münster adn Freiburg and an MBA from the Universities of Düsseldorf and Maastricht. Gabriele joined Covage in June 2011 as CFO. Prior to that he spent more than 12 years in the telecom sector in Europe (Italy, France, Germany) working for large groups such as Liberty Surf, Tiscali, Telecom Italia and Telefonica. Gabriele holds a degree in Economics from LUISS Rome and a Master from London Business School. He is a Certified Public Accountant. Gabriele Mandurino Chief Financial Officer COVAGE Dr Peter Selgert Director Acquisitions and Asset Management Bouwfonds Peter is responsible for acquisition and asset management for a communication infrastructure fund in Germany. Prior to joining Bouwfonds IM in 2014, Mr. Selgert held various senior management positions in the communications industry as managing director or regional director sales & marketing at Technetix Ltd., C-COR Inc., Arris Inc. and Philips Broadband Networks for more than 15 years. Prior to that, he served as managing director at Philips Recordable Media GmbH in Wiesbaden. He graduated in Physics at Frankfurt University and holds a PhD in Physics. He completed an executive education program at INSEAD.
