Section A, Instructions to Bidders: The deadlinee to submitt a bid has been changed to May 23, 2014 before 2:00pm PST. 3. The current pricing matrix will continue to be used. There will be no new matrix uploaded. 4. The attached document titled tbp Response to Vendor Questions 5/7/14 shall be part of this addendum. 2 4CD 38 LMC L 612 Furniture Bid tbp response to VENDOR QUESTIONS 5/7/14 1. There are no item codes on the.pdf furniture plan identifying specific furniture to be bid. This makes it difficult to verify against product specifications provided. This could result in quantity discrepancies on the bid. Will you ask the furniture consultant to supply a furniture plan with clearly marked item codes? A1: Refer to AutoCAD drawings CAD Files 1 and CAD Files 2 for Basis of Design manufacturer part number for product specified. PDF furniture plan is for layout reference. Bidders shall provide manufacturer s item code on pricing matrix so that each manufacturer s product can be identified and compared to items specified per PDF FURNITURE BID PACKAGE dated 4/7/14. For example, Item Code CH 1 shall be replaced with Manufacturer part number for Armless Lounge Chair. 2. There is no reference to item codes on the product specification sheets provided. Will you ask the furniture consultant to provide an item code on each product specification sheet to cross reference to the furniture plan? A2: Refer to AutoCAD drawings CAD Files 1 and CAD Files 2 for Basis of Design manufacturer part number for product specified. Bidders shall provide manufacturer s item code for comparable products to items specified per PDF FURNITURE BID PACKAGE dated 4/7/14 as Basis of Design. 3. In order to provide an accurate bid, exact quantities should be provided or vendor s should be provided more detail from #1 & #2 above. Will the new pricing matrix being supplied in Addendum #2 have quantities listed for each line item so accurate pricing can be supplied? A3: Bidders must use Pricing Matrix (Section E) and supply quantities based on AutoCAD drawings CAD Files 1 and CAD Files 2 for all items listed in Pricing Matrix. Bidders shall provide Bill of Materials (BOM) for evaluation of project scope. 4. On Floor 1 & 2, the private office typicals vary in size, components and configuration. The information supplied on the.pdf (furniture plan) and cad files do not supply adequate detail to be able to draw and specify the offices. Will you supply the autocad files with furniture plan included? Will you supply a detailed list of components for each type of office including sizes and configuration of storage components (overhead and undersurface)? A4: Refer to AutoCAD drawings CAD Files 1 and CAD Files 2 for Basis of Design manufacturer part number for product specified and configuration of components. AutoCAD or equivalent drafting program will allow bidders to click on the furniture symbol and identify Basis of Design manufacturer part number for product specified. Dimensions (WxLxH) are shown on the AutoCAD drawings next to the furniture symbol. There are other programs that can view AutoCAD drawings such as AutoDesk TrueView 2015 which is free to download. TrueView will provide the same information as the full function AutoCAD program. Use LIST function to find out the BLOCK NAME by clicking on the furniture symbol. The BLOCK NAME is the Basis of Design manufacturer part number.

3 There is a measuring tool that can be used to confirm dimensions; however, dimensions (WxLxH) are shown on the AutoCAD drawings next to the furniture symbol and are viewable. 5. On Floor 1 & 2, the open office workstation area drawings do not provide enough information to be able to accurately quote. Panel heights, panel widths, components, electrical requirements, worksurface depth are all not indicated on the.pdf (furniture plan). Will you supply furniture plan in autocad to facilitate the drawing and specification process? A5: Refer to AutoCAD drawings CAD Files 1 and CAD Files 2 for Basis of Design manufacturer part number for product specified. Dimensions (WxLxH) are shown on the AutoCAD drawings next to the furniture symbol. 6. This may be corrected in the new pricing matrix, but it is unclear now. What is the item code for the 6 chairs in Assessment Reception? This area is not listed in the current pricing matrix. A6: Refer to p. 21 of PDF 4 CD 38 Addendum 1 for the chairs in Assessment Reception 126. These 6 chairs shall be listed under Pricing Matrix Item Code CH 7A Side Chairs with arms and glides. 7. Area 201A: The specification sheet indicates a round table with veneer top. There is no table shown in area 201A. Should there be a product similar to the AllSteel Merge table in this area? A7: Refer to AutoCAD drawing CAD Files 1 for Upper Level layout. There are no round tables in Area 201A. 8. Area 210: One of the specification sheets shows bookcases in this area are to be 29 high. Another specification sheet shows bookcases in this area are to be 41 high with laminate top. Please clarify and confirm quantities of each bookcase height. A8: Refer to AutoCAD drawing CAD Files 1 for Upper Level layout. There are 4 41 H bookcases with laminate top 9. Area 246: Please supply table width and depth. A9: Refer to AutoCAD drawing CAD Files 1 for Upper Level layout. The table size is 30Wx60L 10. Area 245: There are two lateral file heights called out in this room. How many and which files are 64 ¼ high? How many and which files are 28 high? A10: Refer to AutoCAD drawing CAD Files 1 for Upper Level layout. There are 2 64 H lateral files, 4 28 H lateral files. 11. On Floor 2 the private office Executive Suites vary in size, components and configuration. The information supplied on the.pdf (furniture plan) and cad files do not supply adequate detail to be able to draw and specify these offices. Will you supply the autocad files with furniture plan included? Will you supply a detailed list of components for each type of office including sizes and configuration of storage components (overhead and undersurface)? Suites 257, 260, 262, 261, 259 & 258. Area 132: Unclear from the plans where the Mayline Mail Flow To Go unit is to be located. Will you be supplying more detail on where this unit is to be located in this space? A13: Refer to AutoCAD drawing CAD Files 2 for Lower Level layout. This mail unit is located at the end of the 2 Pack workstations above (3) 2H lateral files with common top. 14. Area 208: The lateral configuration for this area is not listed on the specification sheets. Please supply the correct configuration for these files. A14: Refer to AutoCAD drawing CAD Files 1 for Upper Level layout. There are (3) 5H lateral files at the end of 2 Pack workstations and (3) 2H lateral file behind reception desk. 15. Area 226: Is this built in casework supplied by others? Or is this furniture? A15: Casework by others. Refer to AutoCAD drawing CAD Files 1 for Upper Level layout. Furniture bid shall include keyboard trays, pedestals and chairs. 16. Area 258: The guest chairs for this office are not indicated on a specification sheet. Please supply the type of guest chair for this office. A16: Refer to AutoCAD drawing CAD Files 1 for Upper Level layout. Chair type in this room is the same as in rooms 257/259/260/262/ AR, Area 140, Cashier, F/A Open office area: Are the reception areas built in casework or furniture? A17: Casework by others.
