1 ADDENDUM NO 2 LU CASES - Furniture Tender Issued Date: Tuesday, April 10, 2018 Tender No. LU The following revisions supersede the information contained in the original drawings and specifications issued for the above-named project on Monday, March 19, 2018 to the extent referenced and shall become part thereof. Acknowledge receipt of this Addendum by inserting its number and date on the Tender Form. Failure to do so may subject the Bidder to disqualification. 1. QUESTIONS and ANSWERS 1. QUESTION: On the Type H workstations requested in room 2018, frosted glass screens are required. Should these screens only be placed along the spine to divide space between users seated face to face or are lateral screens also required between users side by side as well? Please clarify. 1) ANSWER: There are to be screens along the spine, as well as lateral screens so that there is face to face and side by side privacy for the users. See revised spreadsheet attached to this addendum. 2. QUESTION: What is the datum height of the central screen on the spine desk (Type-H) is 51 high (overall) or 42 high (overall) preferred? 2) ANSWER: The screens for Type-H desking shall be 51 overall height. 3. QUESTION: The Type F meeting table asks for T-legs under the table however with a power module in the surface it will be easier to hide and manage cords running them inside a panel base. Please clarify which type of base is preferred. 3) ANSWER: The Type-F meeting table shall have a panel base with levelers. See revised spreadsheet attached to this addendum. 4. QUESTION: Type-B4 requests an Expansion Casegoods lateral file 3-6 width, but this product only comes in a max. of 3 width, and the block in the drawing is shown as 3 wide. Please clarify which size is to be used. 4) ANSWER: All Type-B4 lateral file are to be 3-0 wide. See revised spreadsheet attached to this addendum. 5. QUESTION: Shared Office 1017H shows two Type-B3 guest chairs in the drawing but these chairs are not listed in the written spec. Are these guest chairs to be included in the price for this office? 5) ANSWER: Yes, there are to be 2 (two) Type-B3 guest chairs included in the price for Shared Office#1017H. 2 ADDENDUM NO 2 LU CASES - Furniture Tender 6. QUESTION: The Grad Student Lounge 2002 drawing shows a quantity of four Type-E7 tables, but the written spec only asks for two. How many of these oval lounge tables are to be included? 6) ANSWER: There are to be 2 (two) oval lounge tables 4-6 wide and 2 (two) oval lounge tables 5-6 wide. 7. QUESTION: Should single or dual upholstery be included in the price for the Type-F1 DNA modular seating? Dual Upholstery will allow for an accent fabric to be used on the bolster and single upholstery means the entire unit would be finished in one fabric? 7) ANSWER: Type-F1 modular seating is to be Dual Upholstery so that an accent fabric can be selected for the bolster. See revised spreadsheet attached to this addendum. 8. QUESTION: For the Type-H1 Variable work chair, the written spec asks for and upholstered seat and the spreadsheet indicates that both the back and seat should be upholstered. Please clarify? 8) ANSWER: Type-H1 is to have upholstery on both the back and seat as indicated on spreadsheet. 9. QUESTION: In Atrium 1 (x2008), the written specification asks for a quantity of 2 x Type C2 Invite Ottomans however the drawing shows only one. Please confirm that only one is required. 9) ANSWER: Only one Type C2 ottoman is required in Atrium 1 #X2008. The 2 Seat reference in specification is referring to the width (4-0 ) of the ottoman, which allows 2 people to have the ability to seat on it at one time. 10. QUESTION: The furniture layout for office 2004E CESME Office is very tight. Are all of the furniture pieces requested required? We are concerned about clearances and functionality in this space. Please confirm. 10) ANSWER: Bidders are to provide the furniture in CESME Office#2004E as shown on A7.9 & as specified. 11. QUESTION: On the OFGO Jazz lounge chairs Type L is single or dual upholstery preferred? A handle is available on the back side of the upholstered back to make moving the chair easier. Is this feature required? 11) ANSWER: Type L shall have dual upholstery and no handle is required. See revised spreadsheet attached to this addendum. 12. QUESTION: Will this tender be awarded base on price only or is there any other criteria being considered? ALTERNATES Refer to the attached Alternate Submission Form showing the requests for equal have been submitted prior to this Addendum. All Alternates Submitted are required to indicate the Furniture Type, Dimensions, Alternate Product Code, as well as the options/features that are included, on the submission form or they will not be considered (ie. Includes power/usb module, etc). This includes when more than one Furniture Type have the same Specified Product name all Furniture Types represented by that Specified Product so that all Furniture Types are accounted for. If any Furniture Type is not included on the submission form, then we will assume the intent is to supply the specified product. Any and all additional costs associated with the use of approved alternates is to be included in the Base Bid. 4.
