As well, please find attached revised drawings and Bill of Quantities incorporating agreed modifications to the design of Schools 6, 27, 30 and 31 in Tender Dossier 2 (North Part of the North-East Region). The changes necessary to the Tender Dossier are listed on the following page. One original of each revised drawings is enclosed together with the modified pages from the BoQ. The latest electronic versions of the BoQ for Lot 2.1, 2.2 and Lot 2.3 are provided on floppy disk attached. These should be read in conjunction with the Tender Documents. 2 ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL COHESION PROGRAMME PHARE 2004 Project No. RO 2004/ REHABILITATION OF 12 SCHOOL LABORATORIES AND WORKSHOPS IN THE NORTH PART OF THE NORTH-EAST REGION LOTS NO 2.1, 2.2 & 2.3 QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS Workshop (Atelier): The Layout plan is missing. Please refer to 06-NE-AR-01-PR sheet 2/2 for the site layout. Workshop (Atelier): The Earthquake proofing measures plan is missing. The seismic conditions are taken into account in the structural design and shown the drawings 06-NE-ST-01 to 10. This issue is fully addressed as part of this clarification package. Please refer to the new and revised drawings for this school. Workshop (Atelier): Table for windows and door joinery is missing. Joinery schedule for the workshop is found on drawing 06-NE-AR-10-PR. Workshop (Atelier): There is a disparity between architectural drawings and building resistance drawings (building height). This issue is addressed as part of this clarification package. Please refer to the new and revised drawings for this school. Workshop (Atelier): Documentation does not comprise geotechnical survey. The geotechnical survey is not included in the Tender Dossier. All relevant data and technical memoranda will be made available to the Contractor after award of the Works contract. Workshop (Atelier): The list of quantities for structural works differs from the drawings. This issue is addressed as part of this clarification package. 3 Greenhouse (Sera): Project for resistance structure is incomplete, dimensions for façade purlins and girders are not quoted. Drawing 06-NE-ST-14-PR provides a detailed description of the metallic structure including details, dimensions and references to the profiles. See also Drawings 06-NE- ST-13-PR, 06-NE-ST-15-PR and 06-NE-AR-16-PR for details. The quantity of steelwork is shown by weight in Bill No 2: Structural. A detailed list of each member, necessary for fabrication, is included in the Technical Memorandum, (Memoriu Tehnic Rezistenta) which will be made available on award of the Works contract. Greenhouse (Sera): 3 beams instead of 2 are necessary for side closings. There are 3 beams, the bottom one is at ground level and shown on Drawings 06-NE- AR-16-PR and 06-NE-ST-16-PR. Greenhouse (Sera): There are no excerpts for mill works. Please refer the answer to Q 7 above. Greenhouse (Sera): Details are missing for frame joinings. Frame will be welded. Please refer the answer to Q 7 above. Greenhouse (Sera): Details missing for purlins, fasteners, polycarbonate. The details of the polycarbonate roofing and fixings depends on which product is selected by the Contractor (subject the approval of the Engineer). The roofing system must have a K value (Coeficient transfer termic) no greater that 2.0 w/m 2 k and resist a snow load of g z =2.0 kn/m 2. With reference to Lot 2.3, School 07 Grupul Scolar, Darabani: - Foundations drawings are missing for the equipment station (remiza). Please refer to drawing 07-NE-ST-07-PR for foundation plan, roof covering plan, foundation and structural details. With reference to Lot 2.3, School 07 Grupul Scolar, Darabani: - There are no architectural plans for closings, compartment, roof covering, joinery, flooring etc for the equipment station (remiza). There are no closings, compartmentalization, joinery and flooring. The remiza is a simple concrete platform without walls and with only a metallic roof covering as shown on drawings 07-NE-AR-10-PR and 07-NE-ST-07-PR. With reference to Lot 2.3, School 07 Grupul Scolar, Darabani: - There are no excerpts for mill work. Drawing 07-NE-ST-07-PR provides a detailed description of the metallic structure including details, dimensions and references to the profiles. 4 shown by weight in Bill No 2: Structural. With reference to Lot 2.1, School 27 Grupul Scolar Silvic Campulung Moldovenesc: The plans, technical specifications and the BOQ differ on the exterior plaster finish. Which is the correct solution? There is 5cm of polystyrene with plaster over it, as shown on drawing 27-RE-AR-18-pr. Please refer to the revised Bills of Quantities for this school. With reference to Lot 2.1, School 27 Grupul Scolar Silvic Campulung Moldovenesc: The plans and BOQ are unclear as to where gyp board goes on the ceiling. Gypsum board ceiling applies to all rooms/surfaces being rehabilitated, as indicated on the architectural drawings. With reference to Lot 2.1, School 27 Grupul Scolar Silvic Campulung Moldovenesc: Are the cables for the fire alarm to be apparent or buried in the plaster of the wall? The cables are to be surface mounted. Q17 With reference to Lot 2.1, School 27 Grupul Scolar Silvic Campulung Moldovenesc: The technical specifications do not include details for the heating plant or pump? The heating station is located elsewhere on the site, the scope of works for this project only applies to the connection to existing heating station where needed.
