AMC1 ATCO.B.020(a) Unit endrsements GENERAL When aerdrme cntrl service is prvided frm a remte twer lcatin (defined in EASA Guidance Material n remte aerdrme air traffic services Issue 2 1 ), each aerdrme fr which the service is prvided shuld cnstitute its wn unit endrsement. GM1 t AMC1 ATCO.B.020(a) Unit endrsements There might be cases where, fr a given aerdrme, air traffic cntrl service is prvided frm a cnventinal twer (defined in EASA Guidance Material n remte aerdrme air traffic services Issue 2) during certain time perids and frm a remte twer (defined in the EASA Guidance Material n remte aerdrme air traffic services Issue 2) at ther times. In such cases, the unit endrsement(s) shuld indicate the wrking psitin(s) (cnventinal and/r remte twer) frm which the licence hlder is authrised t prvide the service. NOTE: This des nt refer t cntingency arrangements/cntingency facilities, as the related training and use are deemed t be cvered by any unit endrsement. When this is dne n a temprary basis fr shrter/limited time perids, e.g. during a validatin r fr transitinal purpses, different unit endrsements fr cnventinal and remte twer may nt be cnsidered necessary. GM1 ATCO.D.055(a) Unit training plan UNIT TRAINING PLAN FOR A CENTRE ATC UNIT FOR AERODROME CONTROL FROM A Fr the purpse f establishing a unit training plan, a Rremte Ttwer Ccentre (RTC) (defined in the EASA Guidance Material n remte aerdrme air traffic services Issue 2) may be cnsidered as ne Air Traffic Cntrl (ATC) unit. 2 GM3 ATCO.D.060(c) Unit endrsement curse TRAINING FOR AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLERS PROVIDING REMOTE AERODROME AIR TRAFFIC SERVICES The unit endrsement curse shuld enable air traffic cntrllers prviding aerdrme cntrl service frm a remte twer (defined in the EASA Guidance Material n remte aerdrme air traffic services Issue 2) t acquire knwledge f the cncept f remte aerdrme air traffic services and f the characteristics f the perating envirnment, t appreciate the necessity t cnsider the specific human factrs influence n the remte aerdrme air traffic services, as well as t recgnise specific abnrmal situatins and t manage their impact. This culd be achieved by addressing the fllwing items: Intrductin t remte aerdrme air traffic services Cncept f remte aerdrme air traffic services (described in Chapters 3 and 4 f the EASA Guidance Material n remte aerdrme air traffic services Issue 2); Remte twer mdules (RTMs) (defined in the EASA Guidance Material n remte aerdrme air traffic services Issue 2); Remte twer centre (RTC) (defined in the EASA Guidance Material n remte aerdrme air traffic services Issue 2); Technical enablers used fr remte aerdrme air traffic services (described in Sectin 3.5 and Chapter 5 f the EASA Guidance Material n remte aerdrme air traffic services Issue 2); and Operatinal applicatins (described in Chapters 3 and 4 f the EASA Guidance Material n remte aerdrme air traffic services Issue 2). PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES FOR AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLERS PROVIDING AERODROME CONTROL SERVICE FROM A The perfrmance bjectives fr air traffic cntrllers prviding aerdrme cntrl service frm a remte twer shuld ensure, thrugh the use f a Remte Twer Mdule (RTM), that applicants apply ATC prcedures in a manner that airspace users are nt negatively impacted/affected, prviding at least the same level f safety as frm a cnventinal twer. In case f a transitin When cnverting frm a remte twer t a cnventinal twer, the training rganisatin shuld cnsider pssible additinal training needs, if apprpriate, required by the change f peratinal envirnment. In case f a transitin frm single mde f peratin (defined in the EASA Guidance Material n remte aerdrme air traffic services Issue 2) t multiple mde f peratin (defined in the EASA Guidance Material n remte aerdrme air traffic services Issue 2), the cnversin training fr air traffic cntrllers shuld at least include the items listed in GM4 ATCO.D.060(c).
