Well it s either a fuzzy insect that flies around gathering nectar OR It s a small group of like-minded quilters who are members of the guild who meet on a regular basis. Most meet in homes, some meet in the small room across the street. Some are very task oriented, some are laid back and just do their own thing. Some like to travel, others not so much. Most bees have a cap on the number of members due to meeting place. The purpose of these bees is to provide a means of getting to know each other better, sort of like Sit and Stitch. If you are interested in joining a bee or starting a new one get in touch with me, Edyth Brown (the Queen}

There s a place for everyone. Your ticket packets are ready. If you do not have yours contact Carol Schulz. The sale of tickets for our Opportunity Quilt help make the show successful financially. Thanks go to Cindy Smith and Connie Bernhard for assembling our quilt top and Jo-Ellen Rogers for quilting it. Thanks too, to Andrea Surber for the photography of the quilt and Tracy Bell for designing quilt cards. Keep stitchin, Beverly and Jo-Ellen IN TRIBUTE The Guild lost a long time member, friend and fellow quilter when Bobbi Clemens passed away recently. Bobbi was an exceptional member of the Guild, who participated in all Guild activities. She was a talented sewer and quilter and was very willing to teach others. One of Bobbi s favorite things was our Quilt Show. She helped in many ways. Most people will remember her as the ribbon queen as she worked on ribbon construction every year. Bobbi hand quilted many of her quilts and loved any kind of hand work, such as red work, embroidery and wool work. To honor her, the Guild will present a new permanent ribbon in the quilt contest. The ribbon, the Bobbi Clemens Award, will be given to a quilt maker who exhibits excellent hand work. All quilts entered into the competition will be eligible for this award.
