Each year we get together to celebrate our devotion to Diana Gabaldon s bestselling Outlander novels and the hit Starz television series that they inspired marks our third North American gathering - previous events were held in Boston, Massachusetts and Quebec City, Canada. Many lifelong friendships and memories have been made at our gatherings! On the weekend of October 7th over 360 enthusiastic fans, celebrities and special guests will be visiting coastal Georgia for our nautical themed four day event. They will certainly fall in love with the graceful Southern charm of Savannah and laid back vibe of Tybee and be eager to partake in all that your communities have to offer. 7 Let's Talk Outlander! The Outlander series is an eight book sequence of multi-genre novels and shorter works written by award winning author Diana Gabaldon that feature elements of historical fiction, romance, mystery, adventure and science fiction/fantasy. Over 26 million books have been sold since the publication of Outlander, Gabaldon s first novel, in Book nine is underway and fans are patiently awaiting its release. In 2014 the franchise expanded to include the highly popular and critically acclaimed television drama Outlander on the Starz network. It stars Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan and Tobias Menzies, along with a stellar supporting cast. Ron D. Moore, producer/writer of Battlestar Galactica and Star Trek: The Next Generation, is the executive producer. Filming primarily takes place in Scotland. The second season, based on the novel Dragonfly in Amber, airs Saturdays at 9:00 PM EDT on Starz. The success of Outlander has spawned a multitude of fan groups all over the world.
