2 About Capital City Comic Con Capital City Comic Con is greater Lansing s first comic convention, committed to providing the best exhibition of Comics, Collectibles & Creators in Greater Lansing & providing support for our Community. Founded in 2015 by a group of likeminded individuals who are passionate about bringing a community-owned comic convention to the Greater Lansing region, the 2016 Capital City Comic Con hosted 2,000 participants at the Breslin Student Events Center on the campus of Michigan State University, filled with comics, games, cosplay, contests, artists, special guests, and more. The 2017 Capital City Comic Con will take place on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the Breslin Center on the campus of Michigan State University. Caring for Our Community Fully knowing the power comics have to ignite a hunger for reading, we have endeavored to support the pervasive issue of illiteracy in Greater Lansing by partnering with The Reading People at the Capital Area Literacy Coalition, a nonprofit organization that has helped children and adults in the capital area and throughout the state of Michigan learn to read, write and speak English with an ultimate goal of helping individuals achieve self-sufficiency for more than 30 years. As part of the partnership, Capital City Comic Con supports CALC with a portion of the proceeds from the event, donating more than $1,700 in The Reading People provide free one-to-one instruction in reading and writing for children struggling in school, at risk-teens, and adults, tutoring to migrant and refugee families and English as a Second Language instruction. In addition, we re proud to have established the Capital City Comic Con Original Art Scholarship in Comic Studies in The scholarship is offered exclusively to current students at Michigan State University to encourage the study of comic art.

4 ADVERTISING INFORMATION Advertisements for the 2017 Capital City Comic Con are available on a first-come, first serve basis. Programs will be distributed on-site to each guest and made available online. All artwork must be print-ready PDFs or high resolution JPEGs in the corresponding size specifications. Ad creation services are available at a cost of $50 per hour, one-hour minimum. Online registration is available at capcitycomiccon.com.
