The whole creative team often work together, especially in the inital stages of projects, taking briefs from clients, brain-storming ideas and allocating projects to members of the team most suited to the project. As an agency, our core business is corporate identity and branding, report design (including annual reports), web site design and construction, and various other print-based media. My role with ROAR involves client and supplier liasion, interpreting briefs, concept design, document layout, website concept design and print management. Irish International Proximity (Dublin, Ireland) Graphic Designer / Art Director August September 2006 Irish International Proximity is part of the Proximity Worldwide network and is the below-the-line agency for Irish International BBDO, the largest and premier advertising agency in Ireland. As a designer with II Proximity, I was part of a team of creatives consisting of 6 designers, 2 copywriters and finished artists. The responsibilities of my position were varied - from one day to the next, I could find myself as Art Director for Avonmore Milk; leading brainstorm sessions, directing photoshoots, designing print & point-of-sale materials. As Multimedia Designer for Bank of Ireland; developing online banner ads and liasing with media placement agencies. Or as part of the creative team, lending support to senior designers on Guinness and Budweiser campaigns. I often worked under pressure to meet short deadlines, producing quality work to suit a wide range of projects. From large local, interstate and international marketing and promotional campaigns, to corporate identities. Northern Territory Government Internet and Intranet sites, to transportable NT show circuit displays, my position was varied, and I enjoyed the constant opportunities to experience new challenges. At Sprout, I answered and won tender submissions and played a major role in the operation of the company, which involved management of the design team and providing design and technical advice to colleagues. I often worked with, and managed, external contractors such as illustrators, printers, marketing and event consultants, display manufacturers, multimedia and IT consultants and other industry peers. Debbie managed all aspects of the design process from brief through to the final product. If it can ever be said, Debbie probably worked too hard for us and I know she found it difficult to leave. Debbie put three years of her life and passion into my company and treated it like her own.
