3 3 Step One- Use supplied ground post driver and maul to drive posts into ground. Hole 1 is to secure rafter leg with supplied hex bolt and nut. Be sure to leave holes 2 and 3 high enough off ground level in order to place a 2 x 6 ribbon board along building base, if your construction plans include this addition. Check ground posts so that holes are pointed outward. Hole 4 is unused. See Figure A.

7 7 Step Five- Finish rafter and end wall assembly by repeating steps 4-2 in descending order until cold frame assembly is complete.

8 8 Step Six. Ratchet Assembly Front Setup. Back Setup. Ratchets are place on outside of building just about ground post assemblies. Figure C shows locations for all ratchets

10 10 Step Seven- Purlin Pipe Assembly. The pipe used for purlin is in diameter. Side panel pipe (per side)- 2 x 75 swaged 1 x 73.5 plain Pipe Fastening. After fastening pipe with a Tek screw, be sure to Cover it with supplied duct tape so the screw won t rip any fabric. Side panel pipe locations

12 12 FABRIC INSTRUCTIONS Step One- Unpack and unfold completely. Step Two- End panel walls will be held on by fabric clips and 8 snugger ball tie downs (detail view below). 13 13 Close up view of snugger ball locations After fabric clips have been installed to the proper positions, put a Tek screw through them in order to keep the clip from sliding off of the pipe. Detail view below

14 14 TIP: When installing ALL pipes through the side panel slots and conduit slots, be sure to connect pipes by above Tek Screw technique and cover the ends of the pipe with duct tape, so any sharp edges will not be able to tear the fabric when sliding the pipe into position. INSTALLING THE COVER Step One- Unpack cover and unfold it completely with the inside surface facing up. Tip: The ends with black straps in the hems correspond to the front and back of the shelter. Step Two: Slide the assembled cover conduit pipe into the hem of the canopy. Detail view below

15 15 Step Three: To pull the cover over the frame, attach ropes to both ends of the cover conduit. Wrap the rope around the conduit a few times as shown below to prevent it from slipping off accidentally. Step Four: Throw the ropes up and over the frame and then pull the cover over the frame. You need one person at each rope for this step. Step Five: Center the cover front to back and side-to-side. Step Six: In the front and rear hems, locate the black straps. Step Seven: If either of your straps were shipped with a D-ring attached, you must cut the D-ring off with scissors, as it is not used on this model. Step Eight: Fasten ratchets to the outside of the legs with a Tek screw in the bottom hole of the ratchet as shown below. There should be a few inches between the end of the cover and the ratchet. BACK PANEL FASTENING In order to hold the back panel in place while pulling over the rest of the canvas, it will now be secured to the building by using the 1 black strap in the included kit.

16 16 Step One: Cut off the excess strap leaving 12" in length. Step Two: Feed the strap through the center slot in the ratchet and tighten slightly. Step Three: The hem containing the cover conduit needs to be slit or notched at each leg where you will install a strap. If your cover was not notched at the factory, continue with this step. Cut a 2" long slit in the hem just above the cover conduit. Repeat this step on the other side of the hem so you can pass a 1" wide strap over the conduit through the slits. Feed the both strap ends together through the slot in the ratchet spool and tighten slightly. Refer to the photos below.

17 17 SIDE STRAP FASTENING Step Four: Along the back of the shelter, slip straps through the slits so the strap goes around the cover conduit. Step Five: Along the opposite side of the shelter, fasten ratchets to the outside of the legs where there are slits in the cover. Use a Tek screw in the bottom hole of the ratchet as shown below. There should be a few inches between the cover conduit and the ratchet. Detail views below-
