We used 12 x 12 scrapbook paper that had different patterns and colours on each side. To achieve an Americana theme, keep the colour palette solely red, white and blue. Note: The correct way to vertically hang the American flag is to place the blue field to the left side. This will create a one-sided garland as the flag from the back side will be hung incorrectly. For a two-side garland, flip finished garland over and attach additional flags so blue field remains on the left side.

Note: Folding gives shape to the bunting Cut ribbon to desired length. Fold ribbon in half and pinch to mark center. Lay ribbon out on a flat surface. Hot glue one flag in the center of the ribbon (blue field to the left). Place the glue on the top end of the flag then place ribbon center over. Press down to ensure tight glue bond. 12. Working to the right side alternate and hot glue poppies, buntings and flags. Repeat gluing order on the left side.
