5 Dear Parents, Children can and do love Science that is what we in Discovery Camps (DVC) earnestly believe in, and our activities, projects, visits, and lessons are developed to help children love Science. I am a Scientist with more than 40 years experience and I love Science, and my passion is to share this love with children. When children love a subject, they will learn well and do excellently in it. This is our 52nd DVC and we are now 26 years old. We use interactive hands-on Science methods, to get the campers to think, question, get evidence, test and explain. The older campers learn to relate their findings to scientific knowledge and report on them. Creative Project Work, Life Science experiments and forensic/detective experiments have been introduced in some of our programs and these are great favorites among our campers. We continually upgrade our programs. Discovery Campers love being at DVC and we have many repeat campers each time. In May/June 2018, DVC will be conducted at 2 Campuses: 1. MAIN CAMPUS New Town Primary School at Tanglin Halt Road 2. EAST CAMPUS Geylang Methodist School (Secondary) at Geylang East Central Do enroll your children with Discovery Camps to enable them to not just learn Science in a fun discovery way but, in keeping with the primary science framework, to look into SCIENCE as an INQUIRY. We do it excellently at DVC! I look forward to having your children with us at our 52nd Discovery Camps. Dr Seet Ai Mee BSc Hons, PhD, FSNIC
