1 Vintage Aircraft Photography Workshop with Moose Peterson & Michael Eleftheriades at The Shuttleworth Collection Wednesday, 16th August 2017 From am to 5.00 pm A unique opportunity to join Nikon USA Ambassador and accomplished aviation photographer Moose Peterson on one of his rare visits to the UK, to capture the sight of the special vintage aircraft that make up the Shuttleworth Collection. Shuttleworth has the largest and most impressive collection of genuine airworthy vintage aircraft in Europe. This special workshop will provide the perfect opportunity for you to photograph these magnificent aircraft with expert tuition. Local facilities include eight hangars housing some of the earliest aircraft ever constructed, an exhibition of vintage cars, motorcycles and bicycles, trading stalls, a gift shop and access to the Swiss Garden. Our day will include: 1. A presentation by Moose Peterson on his aviation photography 2. Lunch in the Pilot s Briefing Room 3. A guided tour of the Shuttleworth Collection 4. A practical workshop by Moose Peterson using aircraft from the Collection (*1)

2 About Moose Peterson Moose s true passion has always been and remains photographing the life history of our endangered wildlife and wild places. Since 1981 he and his wife Sharon have dedicated their lives to this pursuit. Educating the public about our wild heritage is their hallmark. In recent years Moose has added aviation photography to his pursuits with the same goal of preserving our aviation heritage, pictorial and oral for future generations. Along the way Moose has been honoured for his photographic passion: Nikon Ambassador USA, Lexar Elite Photographer, recipient of the John Muir Conservation Award, Research Associate with the Endangered Species Recovery Program, just to name a few. He was part of Epson s Finish Strong ad campaign. Moose was creative producer/photographer of his acclaimed film: Aviation Photography: Warbirds and The Men Who Flew Them. He shares his knowledge through his writing, published in over 143 magazines worldwide, and author of 29 books including his latest, Photographic FUNdamentals, Taking Flight, and the bestseller Captured. He lectures across the US to thousands of photographers every year and has been working as an educator for KelbyOne. One of the original Nikon shooters to receive the D1 in 1999, Moose embraced this new technology, becoming the only wildlife photographer in the world to shoot strictly digital in the early years. While a beta site for all the major hardware and software manufacturers, Moose continues being a creative innovator of new techniques both behind the camera and the computer, which is the driving force behind his photography and goals. 3 About Michael Eleftheriades A Nikon Owner subscriber since 2002, Michael is an architect and photographer who fuses his particular passion for architecture, virtual reality, computer graphics and photography in the creation of large-scale panoramic imagery. He has exhibited his photographs at three exhibitions in London and lectured on panoramic creation to wide acclaim in the UK, Europe and the United States. When not photographing, Michael directs the efforts of Media Synthesis, a media development and consultancy company established in 1993, and is responsible for virtual reality tours and interactive exhibits at many of the UK's leading museums, including the Maritime and Natural History Museums. Attendees will be provided with a checklist of recommended equipment and suitable clothing before the event. The aircraft will be photographed on the ground and outside the hangars if the weather conditions permit. The aircraft may or may not be flown on the day. (*2) The cost of lunch is included and attendees will be given the choice of meat, fish, salad or vegetarian meals, served with either tea or coffee.
