2 Dates: Week 1: Wed 2nd - Fri 4th Jan Week 2: Mon 7th - Fri 11th Jan Week 3: Mon 14th - Fri 18th Jan Week 4: Mon 21st - Fri 25th Jan Week 5: Thurs 29th Times: Sign In: 7am am Sign Out: 4pm - 6:30pm Fees: First time Enrollment Fee: $55 Book and pay before vacation care: $55 a day or $250 a week Book and pay during vacation care: $60 a day or $280 a week Food: Children will need to bring their own packed morning tea, lunch and a drink bottle, except on the 9th, 24th (K - 3), 21st where lunch will be provided as part of the activities. The Island will provide afternoon tea. Please remember that we are a Nut Free Centre. Excursion Transport: The Island has four buses which are fully air conditioned and have seat belts. As well as booster seats for all children under the age of 7 to comply with the new regulations for children travelling in vehicles. On occasion, The Island may use charter buses for larger group activities. ISLAND EXPLORERS ( K - 3 ) Week 1 Monday 31st: NEW YEARS EVE No Vacation care today. Tuesday 1st: NEW YEARS DAY! No Vacation care today. Wednesday 2nd: CIRCUS AT THE ISLAND Today we re turning the Island into a circus tent. It s time to learn how to juggle, clown around and play some really fun circus themed games. Thursday 3rd: LETS GO FISHING! We ve got our friends coming out to show us how to catch some fish and race Yabby s. READY SET GO! Friday 4th: PICNIC AT PUTNEY PARK Whats better than friends, food and fun? Not much! Today we re off to Putney Park for some fun in the sun and some really awesome games.

3 Week 2 Week 3 Monday 7th: CINEMA SPECTACULAR! It s movie Monday at Vacation care today and that means we ll be taking the bus to the closest cinema to see an awesome new movie release! Monday 14th: WATER PLAY DAY It s going to be a splashing good time at the Island today. If slip and slides dont tickle your fancy, our water filled games and super soakers just might. Tuesday 8th: WHACKY RACES Ready for some zany and all together outrageous fun? I know I am! We re getting all things crazy with our whacky race day. Wednesday 9th: THE THREE P s Three simple words. PIZZA. PJS. PARTY Slap on your most funky pajama set and come join us for some snoozetacular Thursday 10th: KARAOKE CAPERS Do you think you ve got what it takes to be a superstar? Maybe just want to sing along to some Taylor swift? Today is all about the Karaoke, can you hold a tune? Tuesday 15th: WIND AND THE WILLOWS Ready for a taste of the arts? Me too! We re off to the botanical gardens this morning to see the Wind and the willows theatre show! Wednesday 16th: RETURN OF THE NERFS + PRINCESS HIGH TEA! Whether you re a nerf time warior or a princess for the day, you re bound to have an amazing time at the island! Thursday 17th: BUSH WALK Slip slop slap and get your closed shoes on! Today we re off to the bush and ready to see what kinds of wild life we can spot! Friday 11th: Friday 18th: CONEY ISLAND AUSTRALIAN REPTILE PARK Slipping and sliding and riding! OH MY! It s time to buckle down with your reptile What better way to end the week than a trip knowlege because today is all about to the very famous CONEY ISLAND. That s all things slippery slimey and slinky. right explorers, we re heading out! Snakes, Frogs, Crocodiles, we re in for a real treat!

4 Week 4 Monday 21st: PANCAKES ON THE ROCKS Back by popular demand only bigger and better It s Pancake time! We ll be heading into the city too get our food on, and also see the local landmarks! Tuesday 22nd: KNIGHT SCHOOL It s easily one of the most exciting days of the holidays! Today we re off to Knight school! It s time to dress up, joust, jester and duel, are you ready? Week 5 Monday 28th: NO VACATION CARE TODAY! AUSTRALIA DAY! Tuesday 29th: PUPIL FREE DAY Island Activitiy Day Wednesday 23rd: BRASSERIE BREAD Can you smell that? It s the scent of the freshly baked bread we re going to be making and then enjoying! Thursday 24th: PIZZA PIZZA PIZZA! If you ve watched Masterchef with mum and dad you ll know how exciting cooking can be. Today we re getting our chef hats on and making our own pizza s! Friday 25th: PARTY IN THE PARK To finish off yet another awesome vacation care we are going to have an awesome party in Putney Park with a BBQ and some awesome party games!

5 Vacation Care Registration Form - SUMMER Booking Procedures: For your convenience The Island offers the following arrangements for booking: 1. In Centre: Come down and have a look around any weekday afternoon after 3:30pm. Staff will be happy to give you a tour and answer any questions you might have about our program. 2. , Post or Fax: All enrollment and registrations are accepted via these methods. and Fax registrations must include credit card details. Cheques are accepted with postal applications. 3. Phone: Registrations can be made by phone for families who are already enrolled at the centre. 8 To help you with the cost of your child care the Australian Goverment provides the following assistance for eligible families: The Child Care Benefit CCB is means tested and reduces the cost of your total child care fees. It is available to you if you are a parent, foster parent or grandparent with a child in your care who is attending a child care service approved by, or registered with, the Government. There are certain eligility requirements you must meet to get Child Care Benefit. Please contact Centrelink to see if you are eligible. The Child Care Rebate CCR is additional assistance that allows you to recieve up to 50% of your out of pocket payments for approved care. CCR is not means tested, however, does have some eligibility requirements. Please contact the Family Assistance Office to find out more information.

11 WHAT TO BRING: Week 5 Monday 28th: NO VACATION CARE TODAY! AUSTRALIA DAY! Tuesday 29th: PUPIL FREE DAY Island Activitiy Day Food and Drink for Morning Tea and Lunch each day. The Island is a NUT FREE CENTRE. Please do not pack foods that contain traces of nuts particularly Peanut Butter and Nutella. Children will not be allowed to purchase lunch when out. The Island provides Breakfast before 8am and Afternoon Tea at about 4pm each day. Raincoats are essential every day, regardless of weather, as children will be out and about during the day. Shoes must be enclosed. Sneakers, Boots and sports shoes are the best. No Thongs, No Crocs, No Ballet Shoes. Week 2 Hats are required for outdoor activities and play. The Island provides sunscreen for the children. Change of Clothes WHAT NOT TO BRING: Chewing gum Skateboards, Roller Blades and heelies except when programmed. Electrical Devices
