God vaues obtaned n premnary sampng were generay ow but anomaous. It s recommended that future work on the property be preceded by GPS or other ocatons! surveyng. Property The Magus property was purchased from Gerard Bastarache of Dobe Ontaro n It conssts of 20 unpatented mnng cams n Hooway and Tannah townshps. Ontaro. Because of group stakng characterstcs the area covered s the equvaent of about 30 standard 40 acre cam unts Locaton and Access The property s ocated on the mutua boundary of Hooway and Tannah townshps, south of hghway 101 East, between the town of Matheson and the Quebec provnca border. Access for the 1995 dr programme was east off the Harker/Hooway access road through the Irs Mnes property n southeast Harker townshp and then about a me east and south by bush road. Work Programme A programme of fve damond dr hoes totang 2870 ft. was carred out n October and November The hoes were ocated to provde a premnary test of some areas of the property whch were overburden covered and unexpored and, n some cases, to test certan geophysca targets outned by prevous owners. Because the property s amost

2 competey overburden covered, ony geophysca anomaes and prevous drng resuts and ther extrapoaton can be used to gude exporaton drng. 4 I Hoe SH951 (596 ft.) Ths hoe was ocated n the north end of the property to extend the secton begun n 1994 by G. Bastarache's hoe BM941. The Bastarache hoe was ntended to test an Induced Poarzaton chargeabty anomay at the property's north edge whch had been nterpreted as beng caused by 1007o suphdes. Hoe BM941 dd not encounter anythng thought key to have caused the anomay and the causatve suphdes were therefore nterpreted as beng further north. Hoe SH951 was coared to test ths theory. It cut a sequence of vocanc fows of varous textures and, at 409 ft., a gabbro or dabase dke. The dke contnues to at east 500 ft. and possby to the bottom of the hoe at 596 ft. and may cut through and mask the target Induced Poarzaton anomay. Hoe SH952 (506 ft.) Coared above the bottom of hoe SH951 ths hoe was dred to compete the secton begun wth hoe BM941 n It cut vocanc fows, a arge percentage of whch were sheared and breccated. At 181 ft. t cut a 270 ft. secton of what s probaby a mafc dke. Beow the dke were typca pow avas. Agan, there was no ndcaton of a source for the Induced Poarzaton anomay. The dke may have masked t agan f t exsts. Hoe ST953 (756 ft.) Ths hoe was coared south of the prevous two to test a deep seated resstvty anomay whch was aso detected by the Induced Poarzaton survey. It was thought that the resstvty anomay mght ndcate the presence of a rhyote fow horzon or an ntrusve of fesc composton, ether of whch woud be potentay favourabe hosts for god mnerazaton. An outcrop occurs at ths ocaton and exposes some nterestng hyaocastcs and mnor tuff thcknesses n a sequence of fows. God assays have been obtaned from the outcrop and t was beeved that a deeper test of ths target was warranted. Hoe ST953 cut a seres of powed and vescuar avas wth ony mnor occurrences of mafc dkes. Very tte suphde was seen n the core. One area of shearng showng strong quartz foodng wthn the Andestc Pow Lava sequence gave vaues of

3 of 1457/1611 ppb n god/ton from a one foot sampe. A sampe taken from a carbonate fed shear beow t returned 401 ppb god/ton. It appears that the combnaton of shearng and quartz foodng are favourabe for god deposton. Other assays from the same hoe showed ower vaues. m a M HoeST954(496fU Ths hoe was coared north of hoe ST953 on ne 9E to test for the extenson of a magnetc anomay detected further east on the Condaka grd system. Lnear magnetcs n the property area are often reated to nterfow tuffaceous horzons such as the one whch has produced the best god vaues on the property n prevous programmes. Before spottng the hoe, magnetometer readngs were taken on ne 9E and adjonng nes to try to ocate the anomay but were unsuccessfu due to a magnetc storm. The hoe was therefore spotted to ntersect the estmated offset extenson of the anomay. It cut a varety of vocanc fows but no tuff or magnetc horzon. It s concuded that ether the magnetc zone s cut off east of the hoe by transverse fautng or that the Condaka grd system and the grd cut by G. Bastarache (whch we were workng from) are too poory correated to enabe accurate projectons of ths knd. Hoe ST955 (516 ft.) Ths was the ast hoe of the 1995 seres and was coared to ntersect the westward extenson of the man mnerazed god horzon tested n earer work by Condaka Mneras and Canamax. Locaton was agan a probem due to poor correaton between the varous grds on the property. In addton, eary deep snow and freezng condtons made ne ocaton and dentfcaton uncertan. A mted amount of magnetometer surveyng was done n an attempt to ocaze the target nterfow horzon (whch s magnetc), a magnetc zone was detected, and the hoe was ocated to test ths magnetc anomay. The hoe ntersected a shear or tuff zone, andestc fows and a arge mass of magnetc dorte whch s probaby a dke. It s probaby ths dke whch was detected by the magnetometer. The target god horzon may have been cut off by the dke or the hoe may have been too far north, the shear/tuff horzon ntersected beow the casng beng ts north edge. Eevated god vaues were obtaned from the one assay taken from ths ' tuff. Another possbty, of course, s that the hoe was off target due to ocatona - probems referred to above.

4 Concusons Adverse weather condtons nterfered to a arge extent wth proper oggng and sampng of the core of these fve hoes. It s recommended that the core be re-examned and resamped durng the next fed season. m m m t A pre-requste for further work on the property requres estabshment of good ocatona nformaton for the varous grds, dr hoes, cam corners, outcrops and geophysca anomaes exstng on the property. The use of accurate GPS (Goba Postonng System) equpment woud probaby be the most effcent and economca way to accompsh ths. Assays obtaned so far from the 1995 drng are generay anomaous but ow n god. Hoes ST953 and ST955 show the best vaues and are the hoes cosest to the known god bearng horzons. Vaues obtaned n the north end of the property (hoes SH951 and SH952) were dsappontng but maskng of the potentay favourabe horzons by dkes s a major factor n ths area. A dke may have aso cut out the god zone n hoe ST955 Good geophysca preparaton and accurate mappng of the few outcrops avaabe n the area shoud precede any further drng on the property. L.G.
