5 Instructi manual DNDS Modular in metal housing Safety regulatis The unit may ly be installed and operated by those who are qualified electrical engineers or have received sufficient training and are familiar with both these instructis and the current regulatis for safety at work and accident preventi. Follow VDE, EN as well as local regulatis especially as regards preventative measures! Ignoring the safety regulatis can lead to death, serious injury or cause csiderable damage! In emergency stop applicatis use the internal functi Speed output restart disable or a higher level ctrol unit must ensure that the machine cannot start up again automatically! Transport, storage and operating cditis should all cform to EN 00--, -. See technical details Any guarantee is void following unauthorised modificatis. This can lead to death, serious injury or cause csiderable damage! The unit should be cabinet mounted, otherwise dampness or dust could lead to functial impairment. Adequate fuse protecti must be provided all output ctacts especially with capacitive and inductive loads. The unit must be installed following the specificati of DIN EN 07, VDE 00- regarding the required distances. During operati, parts of the electric switchgear carry high voltage. DANGER! 7 BG-PRUFZERT R Orginal Instructi manual DNDS Modular in metal housing Product Descripti The DNDS revoluti and standstill mitor uses an V DC operating voltage. The unit is housed in a powder-coated metal case mountable a mm DIN Rail. Modular design is e of the advantages of the DNDS. It csists of a housing with mounting rails for modules and a back plan with cnectors and a set of modules. One module ctains the internal power supply and output circuits, and e or more modules ctain the moti mitoring electrics. All cnectis are plug able and have spring loaded clamps. Input modules, Moti and standstill mitoring systems The DNDS is designed to failsafe mitor rotary respectively linear motis and standstill. Moti detecti of machines The moti detecti of an actuati can be accomplished via an encoder, resolver or PNP-proximity sensors. The encoder or Resolver is cnected via a cable adapter DNDA / or / to the DNDS. For moti detecti via PNP proximity sensors the inputs IN and IN are used. When mounting the proximity sensors a tooth wheel, attenti must be paid to mount them in a way, so always at least e of the two sensors is activated. If the M-inputs respectively the MT-input or the D-inputs are not cnected to V, the switched positis to and positi 9 of S and S are active as a divisor. If the M-inputs respectively the MT-input or e rather more D-inputs are cnected to V, all switched positis to 9 of S and S are active as a divisor. Outputs of DNDS EG V7C The modules DNDS EG V7C has two positive switching outputs O and O. Normally the outputs are switched to V. The power supply for these outputs has to be cnected to the terminal V at the module. Output O switch off, if there is a sensors failure at the Encoder input or at IN or IN. O switch again, if the reas for the switching off does not exist. Output O switch off and the LED SPEED is not illuminated, if there is an overspeed, an external or an internal failure, that causes a switch off of the outputs at the output modules. O with overspeed and enabled speed output automatic restart: O switch again, if the actual speed is 0% less than the selected speed. The LED SPEED is illuminated. O with overspeed and disabled speed output automatic restart: O remain switched off and the LED SPEED remain dark also during standstill of the drive. O switch and the LED SPEED illuminates again, if the power supply will be turned off s. If the automatic functi mode has to be not mitored, these inputs have to be cnected to V. These inputs have to be discnected from V, if the automatic functi mode or other functi modes have to be mitored. Look to the priority of the inputs. Using the inputs -D to mitor the automatic functi mode (mode ) With the D-inputs different mitoring frequencies for mode can be selected. Mode will be mitored, if e or more D-inputs are cnected to V. All D-inputs have to be discnected from V, if other functi modes have to be mitored. See D-Table. Using the R-input to mitor the semi automatic functi mode (mode ) Mode can be mitored, if the R-input is cnected to V. For the mitoring of mode the M-inputs of DNDS EG V7A respectively the MT-input of DNDS EG V7C and the D-inputs have to be discnected from V. Using the -input to mitor the tool setting functi mode (mode ) Mode can be mitored, if the -input is cnected to V. For the mitoring of mode the M-inputs of DNDS EG V7A rather the MT-input of DNDS EG V7C, the D-inputs and the R-input have to be discnected from V. For the mitoring of the tool setting and the semi automatic functi mode there are a lot of mitoring frequencies. These can be selected via the DIP switches S and S. See R and Table. The mitored standstil frequency is Hz after the divisor with Encoder measurement messsystem. With resolver measurement messsystem the change of the phase is mitored. With Encoder select a large relatiship mode/ Standstill as possible: With axis 0 to 0, with spindles 0 to 0. The divisor with mode is if possible > 0. With (mode / mode )>(0Hz/ mode -Freq) requires divisor variable With divisor variable the divisor with mode must be (+) or (+). Mitoring not used If less than the available mitoring should be mitored, the not used input modules must be removed from the Rack and replaced by a bridge circuit cnector. Bridge Circuit cnectors can be ordered from DINA. Disable mitoring If e mitoring system should be disabled, this could be de by cnecting the input IN to V. Faults and Errors LED SPEED and the input and output modules do not light: - The encoder is not cnected. - A proximity sensor failure. LED SPEED and the input module flash in Hz intervals: - Track A or B of encoder is missing. - Proximity sensor at IN or IN is defective. The output SO switch off. The LED is not illuminated. The protecti cover cannot be opened. If all drives are stopped the ctacts - and - close. The protecti cover can be opened. The output SO switch, the LED is illuminated. SPEED ctacts: Moti mitoring If the protecti cover is closed, the F-inputs and respectively the D-inputs of DNDS will be cnected to V DC via the switch of the protecti cover. The automatic mode will be mitored. In case of the protecti cover is open DNDS mitors the standstill of all drives, if there is no functi mode selected. If a functi mode is selected, as example tool setting via -input or semi automatic mode via R-input of DNDS, this functi mode will be mitored. If e or more drives break the standstill or the programmed speed of the functi mode, the NO ctacts - and - open immediately. The output OD switches off. The LED SPEED does not illuminated. The drives will be stopped by emergency stop circuit ( category 0). See principal schematic below. The ctacts close again, if the actual speed is 0% less than the programmed speed. The output OD switches. The LED SPEED illuminates. The break of the programmed speed will be stored via LED SPEED at the input module. The LED SPEED is dark, also if all drives are in standstill. This makes it possible to know, which drive broke the speed. If the drives are running, the LED SPEED illuminates. SPEED ctacts Moti mitoring: The Speed NO ctacts - and - for circuit respectively Speed NO ctacts - and - for circuit are closed, if the speed of all mitored drives in the correspding circuit are the programmed speed for the selected operati mode. (Standstill, mode,mode or mode ) If e or more drives exceed the programmed speed of the functi mode, the NO ctacts - and - open respectively - and - for circuit immediately. The LED SPEED goes off. The drives may be stopped by emergency stop circuit ( category 0). See principal schematic below. The ctacts close again and the LED SPEED illuminates, if the actual speed the triggering input module is 0% less then the programmed speed and the automatic restart disable functi the input module is inactive..
