She received her bachelor s degree from Purdue University and a master s degree in journalism from Indiana University. Her work has garnered awards from the Indiana Broadcasters Association, the Society of Professional Journalists/Indiana Chapter and Network Indiana. Laura dedicates her day to providing the most up-to-date information for Northwest Indiana, The Region. Brent Brown Another Midwesterner, Brent was born and raised in Michigan. Since earning an associate degree from St. Clair County Community College and a broadcasting degree from Specs Howard School of Media Arts, his career has taken him from Michigan to Illinois and now, Indiana. When he s not focusing his efforts on delivering the Region s news, Brent enjoys rooting for Detroit s sports teams, watching movies, and slapping his bass guitar. Scott Rosenberg Scott is a born-and-raised Region native. He s lived in Hammond, Griffith, Gary, Valparaiso, Portage and Hobart, so he knows the Region well. That knowledge includes the Region s roads, which is very handy when commuters need traffic reports to help navigate around trouble spots. Scott graduated from Portage High School and has a bachelor s degree from Purdue University. He s been a media professional in Northwest Indiana since Alycia Tassone Alycia Tassone is another Region original, having grown up in DeMotte. She received her degree in Mass Communication from St. Joseph s College. While there, she began her broadcast career at the campus radio station, eventually becoming music director.
