2 About East of Java East of Java are the most sought after and hard working live band in London today. With a huge variety of material with a genuine passion for performance, each and every audience is guaranteed a night to remember. In the thirteen years since they formed, they have developed a huge following of loyal fans and have risen to the very top of London's live music circuit. East of Java have recently completed four tours playing shows along the Costa Del Sol in Spain which has led to a very high demand from clubs and bars asking for their return. East of Java are a professional four piece guitar based band comprising of hugely experienced professional musicians, each successful in their own right. Together, their infectious enthusiasm delivers a show that other 'covers' bands can only envy. Their set-list covers modern day hits from artists as diverse as Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Greenday, Bon Jovi, Reef, Stereophonics Kaiser Chiefs and The Killers. These tunes, alongside all-time classics from the likes of Guns n Roses, U2, The Who, Pink Floyd, The Eagles, Rainbow deliver a show that appeals across the whole spectrum of age and taste. 4 Who are East of Java? Dave Wilson - (Lead Vocals & Guitar) Dave has been singing and playing the guitar since before he can remember. During his career, Dave has had hit records across Europe and spent quite a bit of time appearing on foreign TV shows. He has been in many bands over the years including singing in a resident band working 5 nights a week including two shows on a Sunday. Dave is experienced at singing many different styles from classic cabaret to today s chart and classic rock tracks, and has appeared alongside such people as Bill Wyman, Simon Kirk, Marie Wilson and Leo Sayer. Dave has recently been singing for Yamaha to demonstrate their systems and instruments and has appeared at various trade shows. East of Java Biog & Info Page 4

Mike Casswell - (Lead Guitar & Vocals) Mike has been with East of Java for over 10

5 Mike Casswell - (Lead Guitar & Vocals) Mike has been with East of Java for over 10 years. An outstanding Guitar player and well known throughout the industry. He has played with many well known artists such as Ronan Keating, Brian May, Cozy Powell, Neil Murray and Limahl. He is always in demand for stage, studio and TV work as well as equipment demonstrations and promotional work. He recently took over guitar duties for the We Will Rock You show in the West End. He also teaches at the new Brighton Institute of Modern Music plus the famous Guitar-X institute in London. He lists his influences as Jeff Beck & Steve Lukether. East of Java Biog & Info Page 5

Bob's drumming is the foundation of the band's unique sound and to do this he carries around the biggest amount of drums and sound equipment ever seen on the circuit. Phil Williams (Bass Guitar & Vocals) Phil has been with East of Java since 1996.

He has played and toured with many well known bands and artists including Gary Barlow, Tony Hadley &

Limahl, and The Jordianaires (Nashville artists) to name just a few.

Carlton and LWT and on the feature film Bring Me the Head of Mavis Davis released by Goldcrest Films.

7 Phil Williams (Bass Guitar & Vocals) Phil has been with East of Java since He is a highly sought after bass player, writer and teacher. He has played and toured with many well known bands and artists including Gary Barlow, Tony Hadley & Spandau Ballet, ABC, Go West, Kim Wilde, Paul Young, Curtis Stigers, Vonda Shephard, Rick Wakeman, Limahl, and The Jordianaires (Nashville artists) to name just a few. His skillful playing can be heard on numerous film and TV soundtracks for companies such as the BBC, Carlton and LWT and on the feature film Bring Me the Head of Mavis Davis released by Goldcrest Films. He also performs Bass Guitar duties in the We Will Rock You show in London s West End. He's also a regular contributor to Rhythm magazine. He is currently a clinician and endorsee for Yamaha.
