This manual contains instructions for safety, operation and maintenance. It is essential to read and follow all the instructions and warnings in the manual, prior to assembly, setup or use, in order to operate correctly and avoid damage or serious injury. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS As the user of this product, you are solely responsible for operating in a manner that does not endanger yourself and others or result damage to the product or the property of others. This model is controlled by a radio signal subject to interference from many sources outside your control. This interference can cause momentary loss of control so it is advisable to always keep a safe distance in all directions around your model, as this margin will help avoid collisions or injury. 4 Manual VEGAS 1) THE WINGS Prepare the slot for the rudder horn. Sand the rudderhorn slightly and glue it with 5 min Epoxy. (ARF VERSION ONLY) Assembly the 2 x 50 cm servo extension cable for the aileron servos or by them from Staufenbiel. (ARF VERSION ONLY) In preparation of this step you have to decide wether you want to install the aileron servo with the optional servo frame or with heatshrink tube. For heatshrink tubing shrink the servo completly and cut out the servo horn opening. Sand the botton parts (glued surface). Center the servo with the radio or with an servo tester. Cut the servo according to the picture and enlarge the outer hole to 1.8mm. Test fit the linkagerod. Mount the servohorn perpendicular. 4

5 VEGAS Manual (ARF VERSION ONLY) If you are an experienced modeller it is your decision to install an MPX connection in the wings and the fuselage. Second and as an easier option is to route the 15cm aileron extension cable in the wing. In this case you have disconnect the connection in the wing. Assembly the rudder linkage. (ARF VERSION ONLY) Sand the glued surface. Pull the servocable with the string through the wing. Align the servo to the rudderhorn and glue it with CA. Check before you glue that the servocover fits to the wing. Install the linkage and adjust the length. 5

6 Manual VEGAS Glue the servocover with doubleside tape...or with Tesa tape from the topside. (ARF-VERSION ONLY) If you are an experienced modeller its on your decision to install an Multipex Multilock System in the fuselage and wing. Please follow the Multilock manual. If not fasten the wings with Tesa tape. Please do not not forget the wing joiner before you fix that ;-) 6

7 VEGAS Manual 2) THE FUSELAGE Glue the rudder hinges with 5 min Epoxy into the fuselage. Fix the rudder on the fuselage and glue it with 5 Min Epoxy. (ARF-VERSION ONLY) Assembly the servo extension cable for the elevatorservo or by an cable from Staufenbiel. 7

8 Manual VEGAS Enlarge the hole in the rudderhorn to 1,6mm....so the clevis fiths tight. Please check this. Install the rod in the middle of the clevis. Lay the rod on the fuselage and cut it as shown a bit behind where there rod will protrude the fuselage. 8

9 VEGAS Manual Install the Linkage conncector on the Servohorn of the rudder. Install the rudder servo in the fuselage and set it with the radio or servo tester to neutral. Connect the rod to the servo connection. The rudder should set to neutral and the servohorn perpendicular. Adjust the Finetuning of the rudder neutral position with turning or out the clevis. 9

10 Manual VEGAS Enlarge the elevator rudderhorn to 1.8mm and glue it as shown with 5 min Epoxy. (ARF-VERSION ONLY) Set the evelvator servo to neutral. Shrink the servo in heatshrunk tube as done before with the aileronservos and cut the openings. Cut the servohorn to one hole and enlarge it to 1.8mm. Sand the bottom of the servo slightly and connect it to the servo extension cable. File the clevis of the elevator linkage as shown on the picture to avoid contact to the servo. Turn the clevís in the middle of the rod and secure hom with Loctite. 10

11 VEGAS Manual Route the rod into the fuselage and connect the clevis to the servohorn. Bend the rod to 90 aligned to the seating of the elevator. Cut the rod to 15mm lenght after the bend. Place the elevaor on the fuselage and adjust the lenght of the rod with turning the celvis in or out to neutral. Assembly the tailplane with two M3 Screws and use Loctite to secure them. Fix the servocover with Tesa tape. Solder the connections according the manual of the VTX 60 BEC BEC ESC and mount them under plywood in the fuselage. 11

12 Manual VEGAS Install the propeller Fix the battery with velcro in the fuselage. Depending on its size glue some foam tape under the receiver. THE END! 12
