3 Introduction ALICE Experiment ALICE Experiment Focus on the physics of strongly interacting matter at extreme energy densities. Optimized to study heavy-ion (Pb-Pb nuclei) collisions. ALICE s physics programme relies on being able to identify all of the created particles. ITS Detector Cylindrical detector that surrounds the interaction point.
