2 JULY SPEAKER ~ MARILYN COOK Creating Special Effects Using Your Camera ~ Presenter- Marilyn Cook Marilyn Cook s presentation will detail how you can create unique special effects using only your digital camera. Marilyn's program will detail many in-camera techniques to create amazing effects as you photograph a scene. Want to learn how to create compelling photographs without using post-processing photoshop programs? To learn all about using your digital camera for special effects, you need to attend Camera Club of Brevard s July 3rd program. Wow, members and guests should be prepared for a great program. Marilyn Cook is an adjunct instructor and manager at Eastern Florida State College. She has taught photography and photojournalism courses for over 25 years, and is one of the college s most popular instructors. She has a masters degree in Education Technology from Boise State University, and a masters degree in Fine Art Photography from the Academy of Art University. Come to the July Camera Club of Brevard program meeting. We ll also have fabulous and delicious Independence Day snacks and refreshments for you. No apps were used in creating the effects in these photographs. This is a 6 week class for photo enthusiasts who want to learn beyond the AUTO setting to make your photos more interesting and creative. CCB SPOTLIGHT ON NEWS LANA OF DUNCAN NOTE I was born and raised in Sacramento, Ca. where I obtained a degree in Child Development and obtained a Masters Degree in Education.

My husband and I also started and ran several retail educational materials stores and a children s bookstore, that was my passion.

7 CCB SPOTLIGHT ON NEWS LANA OF DUNCAN NOTE I was born and raised in Sacramento, Ca. where I obtained a degree in Child Development and obtained a Masters Degree in Education. I moved to Florida about 12 years ago after the passing of my husband and the birth of my first granddaughter. I am a retired elementary school teacher and still enjoy substitute teaching on occasion. My husband and I also started and ran several retail educational materials stores and a children s bookstore, that was my passion. LANA DUNCAN About 10 years ago, I was given a DSL camera as a wonderful birthday gift.. I think I cried. That started my journey into photography. As I live within walking distance of the Viera Wetlands, I became very interested in wildlife and most interested in my new hobby of bird photography. Soon I needed a 400mm lens to capture birds in flight along with my first Canon 7D. At the Viera Wetlands, I met many wonderful photographers that became my informal teachers and invited me to join CCB. Over the years, I have enjoyed making new friends and going on many of the field trips. The speakers the club provides are inspirational and provided my basic photography education. My husband and I built a cabin near Donner Lake in California over 30 years ago and I enjoyed many hours hiking around Lake Tahoe and Yosemite with stunning views and endless opportunities for capturing two of the most beautiful places on earth. My passion is traveling and just returned from three weeks in London and Paris with family and friends. Iceland is one of my favorite destinations having been there twice. I also enjoy the freedom of traveling by myself around the world and staying in hostels, which my family and friends just shake their heads at. My annual trip to Ft. Meyers for a week is coming up where I enjoy shooting the nesting shore birds and the burrowing owls in Cape Coral. This winter I also spent a week in St. Augustine for the birding conference and shooting at the Alligator Farm. I now shoot on a Canon 7D Mark II and a 500mm lens for wildlife. I use a Canon 6D with a variety of lenses and filters for landscapes. Lightroom is my choice for processing and I would like to learn more in Photoshop. 7
