1 OpticsPro 11 PRODUCT PRESENTATION DxO ONE 1
2 With DxO OpticsPro, bring out the best in your images, regardless of shooting conditions, in just a few clicks. DxO OpticsPro leverages exclusive technologies that our image scientists have been perfecting for over a decade. Their advances in applied mathematics allow photographers to instantly correct for optical defects in equipment, remove digital noise even at very high sensitivities, recover fine details in shadows and highlights, and bring out all the subtle nuances of color and texture in your images. 2
3 SIMPLE, YET INCREDIBLY POWERFUL NEW THE ADVENT OF SPOT CORRECTIONS FEATURES DxO introduces a new enhancement to its much-heralded Smart Lighting tool : Spot Weighted mode, which produces the nearly identical results as spot metering provides in camera, but with the added benefit of post-capture fine-tuning flexibility. DxO Smart Lighting now incorporates face detection to define a region of interest, then uses information from that area to help define an intelligent tone map that is then applied to the entire image. This intelligent application of Smart Lighting better extends the dynamic range, adds fill light, and improves contrast while optimizing illumination on faces. PRIME 2016 : FASTER, FURTHER The new version of PRIME allows you to salvage images that you thought were unrecoverable, and dare to use extreme ISOs without compromise. For photos without people, or where the face is hidden or in profile, you can manually define the spot weighted region with a simple click-drag. The spot weighted feature can even take into account two different areas two faces for example, with one in shadow, one in light to help determine the appropriate tone map for the whole image. Further improved image quality SMART LIGHTING UNIFORME SMART LIGHTING CORRECTION SPOT - ISO RED-EYE CORRECTION Even faster and more powerful [efficient] Thanks to both face and eye detection, red eyes are automatically identified and corrected. By automating the process, DxO OpticsPro allows for batch processing of dozens, or even hundreds of photos, making the process of removing red-eye completely frictionless. For difficult cases such as faces in profile, semi-automatic and manual modes let you specify the location of the eye with a simple click-drag, and the pupil is automatically located and corrected. Jean-Marc Alexia - Surf de Nuit Anglet 2014 With a newly-optimized algorithm, DxO OpticsPro 11 s PRIME 2016 technology processes your RAW files up to 4 times faster than before: in fact, the higher the sensitivity, the bigger the benefit of processing time. FULL-SCREEN DISPLAY 3 View your images in full-screen mode for an immersive experience that lets you rapidly browse through your photo library while maintaining the display of useful EXIF data. By removing unnecesary distractions, you can more easily rate and select your images for retouching and export, while using new keyboard shortcuts to help you sort through hundreds of photos quicker than ever. Bokehs and smooth transitions are even better preserved, as are fine details and colors, particularly in the shadows; and textures are conserved to produce images of exceptional quality. Muriel Franchescetti DxO OpticsPro s revolutionary PRIME 2016 denoising technology has been designed to achieve optimal photographic quality and provide detailed and stunning images, even at the highest ISO values. Its advanced algorithms analyze the image structure in depth in order to differentiate between noise and fine details with an unprecedented degree of precision and, for each pixel, nearly a thousand neighboring pixels are studied to identify their similarities and to recombine information, resulting in perfectly denoised photos. And it does all of this automatically, based on the precise calibration data from your camera. 4
4 SIMPLE, YET INCREDIBLY POWERFUL EXISTING FEATURES TAILOR-MADE OPTICAL CORRECTIONS : DEFY THE LAWS OF OPTICS DxO SMART LIGHTING : BETWEEN SHADOW AND LIGHT Uncover important details and textures in underexposed and overexposed areas of your image with Smart Lighting, DxO s exclusive automatic exposure optimization. The information that you thought was absent in your RAW files is instantly revealed, even in strongly backlit areas and the deepest shadows. In our laboratories, using state-of-the-art scientific calibration and testing technologies, DxO s engineers have compiled the world s largest library of information regarding cameras and lenses. With now nearly 28,000 optics module combinations at the ready, DxO OpticsPro can automatically apply the most precise corrections, perfectly adapted to your exact photographic equipment. Using these optics modules, which are automatically made available to download, DxO OpticsPro can instantly correct for optical defects in your images, including fixes for: DISTORSION (BARREL, PINCUSHION, AND FISHEYE) VIGNETTING (EXAMPLE) To further refine the different brightness ranges, from the darkest to the brightest areas, use the Selective Tone controls. For a more natural looking rendering of your images, the Shadows and Highlights sliders have been redesigned to recover the maximum amount of information without flattening the midtones Camilla Ferrari CHROMATIC ABBERATION LENS SOFTNESS BY HOMOGENIZING THE SHARPNESS FROM THE CENTER TO THE CORNERS OF THE IMAGE LENS SOFTNESS : MAKE YOUR BEST GLASS APPEAR EVEN BETTER 5 Camilla Ferrari DxO OpticsPro 11 enhances details with unparalled accuracy. Colors are perfectly preserved and artifacts are minimized, even when you push the settings. Thanks to a perfect knowledge of how your lens performs, the exclusive Lens softness tool harmonizes the sharpness in the field and makes your images razor sharp, no matter what equipment you use. Camilla Ferrari 6
